Didn't see one on this so thought I'd start.

According to the Scene if Donaire comes through the Sydorenko this fight is happening up at Bantam. Could be a great fight to kick us off in 2011. Donaire's been looking a bit stale especially in his last fight where he kept switching stances.

Montiel has been in great form of late on an eleven fight unbeaten streak with 8 of those coming inside the distance. He shocked the boxing world (Except D-Mac :yep) by taking out Hozumi Hasegawa in brutal fashion.

    Could be a tactical foty?

Montiel does not have an 11 fight win streak, Valdez was robbed :yep

BUT, I would really like to see this fight. I'd pick Donaire to win, maybe by stoppage.

I remember even before i typed this to not **** it up and put unbeaten in :patsch

Donaire needs to show up for this one the Sydorenko fight might show where he is in terms of form.

Valdez 'won' that fight though, but he was robbed of it. The fights on Youtube, Montiel gets beat up, but gets away with some bull**** cut decision I think :yep:good

Well I'm hoping Donaire in his fight with Sydorenko will just box to his strengths and stop his 'experimenting' with the southpaw stance. I haven't seen Sydorenko box, but just looking at his record you can tell he is the best fighter Donaire has faced since Darchinyan and he can't afford to be careless.

I need to look up more Montiel think i have seen about 4 of his fights and none of them have lasted long. D-Mac is a big fan if I remember so he can't be half bad :D

Looking down Sydorenko's record he can't be a mug wins over Agbeko & Poon, two draws with Cordoba and close loses to Moreno. All in Germany so take what you want from that :hey At least on paper its a step up for Donaire in a long time.

Don't get me wrong, Montiel is very good, just outside the P4P top 10 IMO and is one of the biggest punchers in the sport...but Valdez beat him
