Finally , Montiel vs Donaire is gonna take place early next year as long as Donaire (Sidorenko Dec 4th) and Montiel (TBC Oct 30th) both win on these dates .

How does this pan out ???

Hasegawa did a good job boxing Montiel (until he got caught), so I believe Donaire will outbox Montiel to a comfortable UD 117-111.

Donaire will win by default on account of public perception, having not followed through with the fight? We'll see.

Donaire has good AM background. But @ not so young 27 as a pro minus the headgear with punchers gloves Donaire has less experience than Montiel.Fernando has more experience and is much more stronger. He's seen it all.Donaire needs to show a chin and heart of a pnd for pnd fighter to win FO SHO it's an Acid test!!

    I got Montiel TKO 9.

I think if Donaire can master the south paw stance , which he says he's working on specifically for Montiel , then he's giving Montiel fits , but Montiel has to be ranked amongst the best conditioned and seasoned world champions in the world , he's a throw back of Jake Lamotta i mean the guy is just ****in relelntless and bull strong !!!!

Im gonna stick my neck on the line here and say Montiel is eventually gonna stun Donaire and finish knocking his ass out !!

    Montiel KO 10 :deal

One reason some boxerers reach that platue like there unbelievable to watch is because of tonnes of bloody fights/WAR etc.
When he experimented with southpaw style indicates a fighter that is still tuning his game and hasn't made up his mind of the that one formula that is effective each fight.

We've been hearing this for how many years now? And when was the last time HBO showed a fight below featherweight? I'll believe it when I see it.

Woohoo! I hope this happens!! Very tough fight for both men here, but im gonna go ahead and say Montiel takes this by a late round stoppage, somewhere around the 10th or 11th.

I believe it when I see it. Don't have too high hopes until they walk into the same ring.

I think the fact these 2 rank 3 and 4 P4P in the world right now , and the apparent lack of super fights for HBO to pick from , makes it " this time " beleivable IMO

Donaire does rank number 4 (which is ridiculously too high), Montiel is ranked number 9 tho.
