Surely they will be stripped of their purse if they test positive after the fight, so they won't be making anything.

You'd hope so. I hate to fall on the side of sensationalism but IF something bad happened AND the fighter got pulled for a banned substance....might've been better to nip it in the bud.

I don't think that 'fighter a' is more likely to seriously harm another just because he's on the gear....but I'd rather a fight get cancelled just in case.

Either that, or let everyone take whatever the **** they wan :D

Ugh, I detest this wanker so much. I know you'll read this Montoya. You have some big arse ego. Someone needs to do a count on how many times you say "I" and "Me" on LIITR. Drama *****.

So what? That doesn't change the fact that I think he's way too big for his boots. He clouds a show I used to like. He's always me me me, I I I.. He's good at what he does but that doesn't mean he's not an egotistical fool.

Bull****, this sport is rotten to the core. Montoya is doing more to reveal that than anyone else recently. To those of us who care about the integrity of this sport it should be of great interest the outcome of this, and I can only hope that this is the first domino that brings it all down, I would be very disappointed if money and power prevailed again.

  9. people talking about drug tests in america need too look at our domestic scene

roids are rampant - fighters are rarelly tested - including world title level fights over here:deal:deal:deal

Funny thing is, this thread is about potentially one of the biggest stories on recent boxing history, and while you complain about how you think the man doing the work is egotistical, you seem to only care about your own opinion of him...that's a little egotistical of you don't you think? Why do you think anyone should care enough about how you feel about him that it justifies derailing this thread? There are bigger issues to discuss than that...

I'm not derailing it. You're making my opinion of him bigger than it is by replying. If my posts means nothing to you, then ignore it. I just felt the need to vent on this guy.

Yes, because in a famously corrupt sport it's best that we have less transparency about cheating.

They wouldn't have let him post the article. But considering MaxBoxing is aligned with Seconds Out, which is part owned by Thomas Hauser, I expect he'll be ok.

Hauser is no friend of GBP.

    Oh Laz, don't be silly.

He's breaking a huge story and is desperately trying to keep himself out of it, until he got threatened with legal action.

Yes to a degree but Wright asked for the samples that had already been taken to be tested only for USADA to inform them that they had destroyed the samples!

the reason they aborted testing was because USADA claimed that they didn't have time to educate the fighters on what they could and could not take - which if you ask me is a crook of ****.
