Montoya responds to GBP legal letter, drug testing and more

What if fighters get busted for coke, dope, smack? That's a totally different media reaction right there.

 

I'm not saying drugs in the sport is a storm in a tea cup, I'm saying what he's supposedly uncovered with Golden Boy is.

It seems to come down to 2 things, the first is that they won't reveal anyone who failed due to contamination and the second is they won't reveal failures until after the fight.

Now I take on board Flea Man's valid point that if the worst did happen and someone got seriously injured against someone that turned out to be juicing then its going to cause a big uproar but I'd say the chances are minimal, with both fighters knowing the risks.

 

Conte advises Ward, Donaire and Berto so it's no surprise that they will go with them however the bigger picture is VADA will have little work now without the 2 main promoters seemingly unintersted in using them.

 

i agree, on the whole I think he is educating a lot of us on what is going on and he has caused quite a stir in the boxing community.

I have to laugh at a couple of opportunist writers who this week wrote self-promoting, misinformed articles. It seems that in their haste to try and discredit Montoya that they failed to read the FACTS of his articles and made themselves look stupid. It really amplifies the childish insecurity of some people that cannot stand someone like Montoya getting kudos or high profile because of his work on the PEDS issue. He should be applauded for all of his work on this.
