I'm looking forward to the day Swarmer gets rid of that disgusting avatar, so why do I keep looking at it?atsch
:rofl I'm glad you found a new avatar. But is that really better than my SNV/RJJ rap gif? ...Really? Because it came straight from their music video...
You need to look at Hagler's complete career rather than just the championship years. He fought arguably better opposition before he even won the title. As for him being beaten by a welter in Leonard? That'd be the same Leonard that was beaten by a lightweight?
I agree somewhat. When talking about the atg mws those two are more often than not inside the Top3. While I don´t want to argue they aren´t, I have to say that in those lists Pre-WW2 mws are very often underappreciated despite some of the very best of all-time fighting during that time. Check out my thread on the ATG mws and add your opinion. :deal http://www.eastsideboxing.com/forum/showthread.php?t=271196&highlight=the+atg+middleweights Not with footage of the St. Valentine massacre around IMO.
both dominated in a spectacular and unique manner. they could have fought in tougher eras, true. they just beat who was put in front of them. should they have moved up to light heavyweight? no, their dominance would have been curtailed, and i'd rather see that. should they have moved up at the 'end' of their careers? i'd rather see fighters retire on a high, in tact. they're both overrated in the sense that they're both talked about as being 'complete' and 'unbeatable' fighters. neither is true of either.
Nothing against Monzon nor Hagler. Like to see them in the 1945-1965 MW division against that type of deep competition.
