why is GiGi being criticized so heavily because he didn't move up yet? hagler and monzon stayed at 160 for their entire careers, yes they had a lot more live bodies(at least hagler did), but that doesn't change the fact that hagler never moved up and fought spinks, so why should king GiGi be scorned and hated on if he chooses to stay at 160?

Different era's of Middleweights. Hagler was in a way tougher division back then compared to GGG's current crop of Middleweights. The big money fights that he seeks are divisions north of his so it makes a lot of sense to move up. Outside of Jacobs and Canelo the MW division is weak, It will take fighters from 154 ready to move up to make any interesting fights for GGG at MW. Charlo, Andrade and Lara come to mind.

Because other fighters are required to take risks and challenge themselves.:deal

It should be no different for GG.

If Golovkin were from the US (and God forbid, from the hood),he'd be called the biggest coward in the sport.

He can. Middleweight has some good prospects coming in from the amateurs. Murata, Derevyanchenko, Khtrov (if he can become what he once was), Quigley, etc.

dude.. can you even name monzon's best victories? hagler's best wins(duran, hearns) moved up to his division to fight him.. so what are you talking about? hagler never moved to lightheavyweight to challenge spinks and he was never called a coward for it so what's the problem? and you mention that the charlos, lara, andrade etc would be fighting at 160 sooner or later, so that division will definitely liven up at least a little bit

Monzon and Hagler fought in tougher eras than Golovkin.

You guys LOVE to call other fighters cowards, but you handle Gigi like he's a baby.

Everybody has to move up and take risks but lil gg.

When Broner was in a dead lightweight division he was derided.

Why is the bar set so low for a fighter you claim is so great?

A low bar is being undisputed king of a division? Huh, I didn't know that.

IdC about Monzon...But What about Vito Antufermo? Mugabi? Minter? You're too main stream to even know about them it seems. And another thing Hagler had to fight 50 pro fights before he even got a shot at the title, These guys you mentioned were on the tale end of Haglers career and were Damn good or Great fighters. Better then anything GGG will ever fight. Look at Leonard, he moved up how many weight classes?

When that division is as dead as MW..yes.

Why can't Gigi take risks and challenges like everybody else?

I mean since hes sooo great.
