Yup. And it stopped great fighters in their tracks. I really think Tommy's going to ease off the gas in this one. He, theoretically, had a chance against Hagler. At least he thought so. He'll find out fast that Monzon's a very different animal.

It would be tighter in the betting. A real pick'em.

so you are admitting I got the first 2 right then? i read the garbage you posted in another thread ..... I actually forgot the 3 rd adjective you used ,, But if Monzon had a quick 1-2 than how can he be slow ? as you described him .. He was so slow actually that his counter upper cut to the body caught his opponents still coming forward in their motion .. so get it right will ya? thats how slow he was

In many of Carlos Monzon's fights he liked to counter to the head and body. But that right hand of his was so very damaging, if it connected on a china chin, that fellow would hit the canvas with a busted jaw, 61 KO's. Aye Caramba !

Hearns v Hagler was one of the best fights in history, Tommy won the first round and hurt Hagler badly at the start of that fight.

Who landed more counters in fights, Hearns or Monzon? I know Hearns landed less countes at 160. Hearns v Benitez at 154 was one of the best scientific chess matches in boxing history.

I believe King Carlos Monzon did, he countered off his opponents misses.

Wilfred Benitez was intimidated by the size of Thomas Hearns, Benitez did not fight his usual fight, he kept backing away.

I just added that Monzon had a quick 1-2, I was right when I said his movement was slow and stiff, why did you mention Monzon`s power?
