Moore came a bit after them and thankfully cleaned up the domestic scene after messrs Wayne Alexander, Steve Roberts, Takaloo, Richard Williams, Anthony Farnell, Paul Samuels, Ryan Rhodes, Gary Lockett and Michael Jones - all fighting at light-middleweight - messed each other around and only reluctantly squared off, in one or two instances, and usually when the fans had given up waiting. It was a joke.

    Bennie is right.

Moore is decen and would beat Alexander and Farnell. Neither impressed me.

The light middle division was packed with talent it should have been a golden era for domestic boxing, instead greed prevailed and they all got beaten by foreign imports who shouldn't have beaten them in a million years!!! Unforgivable by the powers that be!

Arnie was good but not in alexanders or moores class, wayne was once number 1 in european, as moore is now, thats not icluding world champions, arnie didnt even fight for a british title, the best arnie fight i saw was his back and fourth war with howard clark that was a great scrap. Also arnie was a better middleweight than lightmiddle

Arnie beat Scott Dixon who beat Moore. Not saying Arnies better but he wasn't bad at all.

I keep hearing about this back and forth war with Clarke? It didn't happen- it was hardly a war it was just a pumped up Howard clarke who brought a bit of ambition to match his talent for once. It was competitive. But so was samuals- Clarke and to a degree Vargas- Clarke

Moore should never have lost to Dixon. Problems making weight just made him run out of steam. Having said that though, it probably helped him in the long run, he manages it much better now and is a better fighter for it. The loss to Dixon probably made it easier for him to take the first Jones fight.

For me, Moore cleans up all of these guys. No disrespect intended at all. All very talented lads - I thought Arnie was great to watch.

Just think Moore is a level above them all.

Yep I agree the Dixon loss made Jamie. I've seen the fight stegs and your right Jamie would never have lost that in a million years with proper preperation- however it was a learning fight and one that Jamie has rebounded from so well. Had Moore finished Dixon off in the third when he had him on the floor he'd have been stepped up too early and the inevitable resulting loss could have been devestating. That he was still largely an unknown prospect was very important psychologically i'd imagine.

I think Moore right now is clearly a better fighter. But Moore had a slow burn type of career and you never know how he would have fared vs those guys, who were in their primes at the time.

Gotta give Moore credit though. After he's cooked Spice Boy, his British resume will be better than anyone's in recent memory.

Is your fight with Ryan a WBC eliminator..... read articles that said Fraud j (sorry, Chavez jr) is set to fight Martinez next....

I would be surprised if Arum stuck him in there, he is little better than a domestic level contender from what I have seen.
