Yes it's an eliminator Beeston but not a FINAL eliminator.
But Chavez isn't the mandatory, although he has gone to number 1 in the ratings after his last win. If he does fight Martinez he's in trouble, but after 40 fights it's time he made a move ey?:good

    Ah.... ok.

Would he be #1 if his name was Stephenson, or Johnson, or Clarke? (Am I allowed to say that?)

Martinez would blow him away, I agree. He isn't a huge puncher, but he KO'd (I know, I know) Cintron..... Chavez has been taken the distance twice (struggling the first time) by Matt Vanda... hardly the form of a #1 rated fighter.

Give Chavez his due though he has no am background whatsoever and is only 23, so he is taking his time has looked bit average at times but his last win was impressive against a decent opponent, should be nowhere near number 1 though.

Chavez is actually half decent - won't beat jamie though. If he was a Brit we'd be all over him he's improved a lot!!!

    That's my main point.

He hasn't done bad by any means - better than I could do obviously :yep

I think Arum is doing quite well with him actually, holding him back. His weaknesses are there for all to see.

Putting him in with any of the Ring's top 10 would be horrific at this stage.
