    Fellas,

I have BOTH "Moore-Durelle" fights on tape.......... In fight # 1, Yvon Durelle kicked some early hardcore ass on Archibald Moore... YET! Insanely, Moore stormed back to come from behind to KO Durelle in order to save his title in 1958.. What a comeback.......

NOW! Come 1959 in fight # 2, poor Yvon Durelle offered very little resistance in getting KTFO by Moore in round 3........ BRUTAL!

Was Yvon Durelle really any good as a fighter? Did Durelle get lucky early on against Moore in '58??

    Holler Back....

Durelle could punch and was courageous, but I think saying he basically got lucky in the 1958 fight is closest to the truth. Just study his career record.

What happened in the second fight was what one could reasonably have expected to have happened in the first fight.

Durelle was a very good puncher, and Moore's chin, while good, was not great. Durelle got in some good shots early and it took Moore a while to get back in the fight.
