Many years ago this was a fight that was talked about. Only a slight size advantage for Brian but the skill lies with Archie. Obviously the time would be round about the time Archie beat Lavorante. Brian was active then. Im sure Archie would be favourite but how would it have panned out in the UK.
    Anybody got Brian?

I think Archie schools him. Moore beat better heavyweights. Yes he’s near the end of it here but London isn’t special and Moore would conserve himself and find a way to get in a big shot at some point and then pour it on for the finish.

I like Archie Moore. And if it's prime Moore, Moore boxes his head off.

I agree with you both. Moore an all time favourite of mine, but London an interesting character who would probably have had a go. I see a clear points win for Archie. But remember, London doing OK against Valdes until the cut. Archie beat him twice. Only points. Big achievement. Two of many. Great fighter and even greater man.

I’ll go with Archie. He was still contender material even at that stage

    Love me some Archie Moore.
Superb fighter & yes an even better man.

In this case I think we cannot be accused of bias to say he is really likely to beat London!

Archie Moore all the way, better defense, way too much experience. Brian London way to upright, would get caught time and again by speedy counters by The Ole Mongoose.
