The fight at light middle is a domestic classic, both fighters giving it there all, untill macklin was gassed.Would'nt it be something if moore eventually moved up to middle if macklin won a world title.I know Moore has every bit if not a better chance at claiming a title at light middle, but macklin cant do light middle so it would have to be at middle. This fight would easily sell and could be another classic.Macklin with no weight issues would be too strong down the stretch for moore imo Could this fight ever happen or am i dreaming.

I do think we will see a re-match off this, maybe next year.

certainly if both fail in world title bids, its a logical fight to make.

I think Macklin was struggling at 154.

Moore is good at 154 and doen't need to go up.

I think macklin has a sense of closure from that loss and there is little need for them to fight again. Maybe if Moore wins a title at 154 and Macklin does at 160 there would be incentive for Moore to move up.

What is the point? Their careers have taken different paths now, it would be a waste for them to go and fight each other and one of them gets halted.

They are both on the brink of title shots in their respective divisions, and they are both very comfortable where they are.

2 great boxers. Personally I'd love to see Moore V Yuri Foreman (assuming Martinez is not interested) and Macklin against Barker or Lee (assuming Sylvester won't want to know)

Moore is only ranked by the WBC.

At this stage its pointless. If both loose world title challenges its a big fight for them.

If both win world titles then its a mega fight which would sell out the MEN.

I'm not talkin now, of course it would be pointless. They had such a good/close fight that majority of british boxing would be well up for it. 7lbs is to little to not contemplate this fight happening again imo. This could be easily made in the future, easily

    Hiya lads,
Yes me and Mat are good pal's, and our career's are heading in different directions, but as has been mentioned if we both win World titles, which is a possibility, then it would make for a HUGE rematch. We'd both be willing to do it again, but at the right time, and obviously for the right $$$$$!!

I can honestly see you both winning world titles to be honest. I can see you having just a bit too much raw power and strength for Martinez and can see Macklin beating the **** out of either Sylvester or Strum (I don't rate neither that much). How do you think your body cope at middle though?

I would love to see them fight again. Like Rob said the fight has a good possibility of happening whether they both become world champions or not. The fight would be huge here in Britain and if they become world champs then the rest of the world will get to see a genuine classic encounter.

Full credit to both fighters on what they have achieved so far and hopefully both have a lot more success to follow. Moore vs Rhodes is a great domestic clash and I am sure that who ever Macklin takes on next will be a contender.
