Now that I think about it, I do remember Moorer struggling with Schulz and Botha. That adds to my certainty that Vlad would beat Moorer.

I disagree with your contention that Vlad doesn't hit as hard as the 1995 version of Foreman. By 1995, Foreman's power wasn't as overwhelming as it had been in the '70s.

Certainly the '70s version of Foreman hit harder than Vlad, though.

  2. Moorer did beat Holyfield fair and square and tough Bert Cooper and Prime Botha. Good wins.

  3. I think the 95 Foreman still hit harder than most heavies. He just didnt have the speed. He had to do it with one shot or not at all which is why guys who boxed him well either won (Morrison) or lost by only a UD rather than stoppage.
Old Foreman's hands were so slow that he couldn't start landing punches in bunches and get a guy out of there. According to Briggs,Foreman still hit harder than Lewis and Vitali at age 48 punch for punch.

Is there not a dumb**** test to get on this board?

Waldo, for all this faults, has dominated the division for 7 years.

Moorer was a blip on the screen who beat a cardiac arresting roid freak and got KO'd by a fossil THAT TOMMY MORRISON BEAT!

How ****ing stupid are people around here?

    I scored it for holy.

They aren't as good as byrd and peter, iggy, chag, haye and chambers.

    I'm not sure that's true.

I'd fancy Cooper against any of those. Botha wasn't a clown either, despite not being great in the grand scheme of things.

Morrison has a punchers chance against most heavies, including
Wlad, especially with the left hook. 4 rounds to finish a bum like
Mormeck, pathetic. Like I said, I like Wlad and I really wanted him to
finish Haye, and I lost any and all respect for Haye in that fight with
his shenanigans. Bottom line Wlad couldnt stop a blown up
cruiserweight jagoff like Haye.People act like Wlad is the greatest
heavy ever. Hes about top 25 def. Moorer beat some tough guys,
I just think Wlad got stopped against his greatest competition as
did Moorer. Aright Wlad didnt sign my autograph so i hate him ok.
Just kidding I wish I could meet Wlad, maybe Ill get lucky and wind
    up at MSG for Arreola/wlad

    Very stupid indeed. :-(

Wlad is a genuine "Grade A" ATG who I have #10 at Heavyweight & has potential to rise to a higher ranking still.

    A truly sad loss. :|

I miss you Laughing Bruno, I really do! :|

Yeah this isn't really debatable imo.

Wlad has a better resume, he's achieved more and he'd push mm's **** in.

If old george can hit him with a 1-2 how's he gonna stop wlad sparking him out?

The reality is that aside from the top tier, wlad probably wouldn't even lose more than 3 rounds to most hw's out there as he's just too stylistically honed.

Maybe larry and ali could beat him on the outside but any one else is gonna have to get inside of him and take punishment getting there. Big guys like bowe, foreman and lewis should walk him down, but then aside from tyson, frazier and louis who else could work their way in and damage him? Sanders countered him from the southpaw stance in a way I can't see any other noteable hw replicating.

In short I think wlad beats mm half close to death ten times out of ten.

I enjoyed watching Moorer as well, but there really is nothing to warrant calling him the best LH of his day. He fought very few meaningful bouts at that weight. Virgil Hill was the man of that division, prior to Moorer's vacating it.
