Exactly the same fight as the first, with the old Forrest unable to catch the slick Mora and going into an uneventful decision for the latin snake.
Ill give credit to Mora, he fought a smart fight the first time around and used his strenghts to keep Forrest out of it. He really isnt a bad fighter, with his percieved lack of popularity people ten to overlook he can box. Either Forrest's age and injuries have caught up with him and we will see a repeat or he is capable of better this time and can take the decision. I thought he could have done a bit better in the last fight, and would have tipped a couple more rounds his way with a bit more work. But we will have to wait and see. It may end up that was a 37 year old Vernon at 100% and thats all he has to offer.
Did anyone notice during the Cotto Margarito fight the advertisement for this fight was on the under card of a ppv ..I have it on my showtime schedule ..Who would pay for this ?I think its on the under of Diaz /Katisidis They didn't even promote Mora /Forrest like a rematch .
I was one of them "Mora Don't have a chance in Hell" guy's.... (I ate plenty of crow that Saturday Night/Sunday morning) That said, I still can't pick againsnt Vernon. But reality has set in asfar as Forrest being quite possibly shot & Mora being a better fighter than most give him credit for. (A mixture of both IMO) I'll pop in my Mora/Forrest dvd in again and watch it... (I'll check it again before I give my defo prediction)
I cannot stand Mora, and I expected Forest to slaughter him in the first fight. I'll stay quiet on the rematch, and see how it plays out. If Mora wins, let's hope he moves back up to 160 so Jeff Wald can feed him to Pavlik:yep
Forrest underestimated Mora and thought the fight was a gimme. He won't make that same mistake again.
