Mora vs Jacobs was turning into a very fun fight. Who would have won had the freak injury not happened?

I really can’t fathom how such a crazy thing happened to Mora here. Mora was tough stylistically for Jacobs, Mora being so good at counter punching Jacobs would have had to really be patient coming forward vs Mora.

The 1st round KD by The Latin Snake was huge, but to see it end there in the 2nd was disappointing. If this fight had gone into the later rounds, who do you see having the advantage?

    I think Jacobs, BUT-

Jacobs wants NO part of a re-match &

He was quick to act like he'd scored a fantastic KO

Both of these things make me believe he was hurt at that point.

Danny was starting to put his punches together and in the 2nd round was making things difficult for Sergio.. after about four more rounds at best and Sergio was going to start worrying about swelling and taking further punishment..

I expected Mora to last the distance, get floored 1-2 times, but he's a veteran and it was a mistake by Jacobs to try to overpower him quickly. Now a soft punching past his prime natural 154lber has exposed Jacobs as a big puncher, but with a questionable chin. Jacobs is fun to watch, he gets into battlemode and can be one of the most aggressive fighters out there, but needs to push on the brakes every now and then or a repeat of the Pirog fight may happen again. Reminds me abit of Jermaine Taylor, great offensive fighter, maybe even bigger puncher than Taylor, but has an Achilles chin. Mora was in no shape to beat Jacobs, but Idk how long Jacobs could sustain that high level of activity, Idk how good his stamina is. Jacobs would of won regardless.

Jacobs. He was hurting Mora and going in for the kill when the injury happened. Mora still could have caught him with another good shot and knocked him down but Jacobs in no way would actually be hurt.

Mora was going to limp around on his bum ankle and lose every second of every round before a mercy stoppage by the referee.

There is no other way that fight was going to end.

    He quit from injury.

    TKO2 is TKO2.

lol wait a second the question was who would have won had the freak injury not happened. So if he didn’t get a bum ankle.

Everyone so far has been saying Jacobs, but I thought Mora could have landed more impressive counters and won a decision. It would have been a very back and forth fight and I was disappointed it ended like that. I hope Mora’s injury full heals and he can get back into the mix.

I don’t know what it is about the Latin Snake, he’s dreamed of a world title for so long and he worked so hard to get a title shot and then for that to happen after a good start to the fight must be really discouraging. He wanted an immediate rematch but was injured and Jacobs said he didn’t want a rematch. Hard times for the Latin Snake, thought he had a chance at winning this fight.

Jacobs but he must have thought Mora was more trouble then thought and so decided fighting him wouldn't be worth the hassle.

Seems like many people would like to believe or do believe that Mora either entered the fight with the injury or that the injury was fabricated. I was more or less speaking to that point which I have seen many of the usual suspects (perhaps the majority of vocal posters?) legitimately make/believe.

    Some agenda-drivers have no shame.

Either way, Jacobs wasn't going to lose to Mora. Yes, he got put down. But he also dropped Mora sooooo, let's not point out and make a huge deal of one without citing the other as well. He bum rushed and got countered hard. It happens when you go bananas like that.

Oh look its the guy who pretends to be fair and balanced yet does a awful job covering his clear as day biases, yes Jacobs would have probably won, but his chin is pretty terrible and Mora is just awkward enough to land another shot like the one that put him down and he was hurt the first time worse than Mora was, did Mora just luck out, yeah probably but who's to say he wouldn't luck out again?
