Vitali-Lewis - Vitali won the event against Lennox and scared him into retirement Chavez-Martinez - Jr lost to Maravilla, yet managed to brutalize Martinez in the 12th round, ruined his knee and his career along with it, turning him into the pitiful cripple he is now can anyone name other matches that can be considered moral victories for the loser?
I didn't think it was a moral victory at all for Chavez. He was huge compared to Martinez and Martinez got up and refused to clinch during the assault. If anything, Martinez won the fight and the "moral victory"
Moral victory? Jr disappointed everyone in this fight when Martinez toyed with him 11 rounds. Martinez was favourite but no one thought it would be that one sided for eleven rounds. Yes he hurt and put Martinez down in last round but cmon bro.. Moral victory? Must be a joke.
It was already clear that Martinez doesn't have many years to go but still managed to beat the **** out of young contender at the age of 37. Chavez got last laugh when Martinez hand was raised? atsch
That was a bogus draw which Pac should have edged... I would say JMM-Manny 3 is a much better example.
How do you know who was more ruined. Jr took a hell of a beating and looked like **** arguably losing against Vera in the first fight.
are you blind Martinez is a ****ing cripple now, less than a shadow of his former self. The Chavez fight ruined Martinez and the Murray fight worsened it even more. Cotto basically owes his victory over Maravilla to Chavez Not the first time Cotto takes the benefits of another man's work (Pac ruined Margo for him) Chavez was the same he always was against Vera, he just came to that fight in **** condition because of inactivity, Vera was outlanding Jr but wasnt even tickling Chavez. Chavez came with better stamina in the rematch and it was easy work
There really should be a new topic ban on people under a certain amount of posts and tenure on the site atsch
