I understand your point, and while it seems counter-intuitive that a boxer would be "shot" at age 29, there are lot of factors other than chronological age that come in to play - such as the abuse a fighter took in the ring, the weights they fought at, etc.

Now, I happen to agree with you that Morales was not "shot" and that the term is grossly over-used by modern boxing fans - but, I would hope you would also recognize that it is certainly POSSIBLE that a boxer could be "shot" at age 29. Clearly it does happen.

Most "fans" on here don't understand the difference between being past your prime and being shot.

Ok, explain to me how Morales beats Pac then goes on to lose to Raheem, then once again goes on to fight Pac only to lose and say he is past it by this time? So was Morales "past it" by the time he fought Pac the first time too? I can understand if they say he was problaby weight drained but then again so was "problaby" Pac since they clearly both could have moved up but didn't. We also have to take into consideration the wars Morales was in with Barrera, maybe that had to do with it a little but I still don't understand how he beats Pac then a few months later he is all of a sudden "past it".

Mosley and ODLH I can agree. They were not in there prime altough many thought (including me) Mosley was rejuvenated after the Margarito fight but that was clearly more of a case where Margarito was caught cheating and his head wasn't all there. ODLH was simply drained and he fell for it because of the millions he was going to make and problaby thought he was going to push around Pac in the ring.

Woa wait EM was not shot. He was declining and the weight did not help. Actually it made things much worse. But EM was not shot. I am not saying that. Hell even right now he has shown he is not shot. He is more past it but to say he is shot would not be correct.
    Roy Jones is shot.
    Evander Hollyfield is shot
    Jose Luis Castillo is shot

EM is just past it and the things that showed he wasnt shot was his comeback which were all at much higher weights. Dude has a huge frame and after the wars he has been in and the weight cutting did him in. Not to mention he was facing Pac who is another ATG.

ODLH and Mosley were never in the same type of wars EM was.
Or do you think they were??
