Eric Morales is not interested in fighting Amir khan! He wants Maidana again. Personally I think he is very sensible he is not just another guy after a pay day! He is not stupid he knows he would not beat Khan so looks like Peterson will be Khans next fight. The WBA rules if a champion holds two belts they then become super champion so Maidana and the ghost will be fighting for the regular title. Morales knows this and knows Amir is moving up and is looking to unify! Clever boy :)*

or maybe he knows he can get the same money to fight Maidana or more instead of Khan. Khan does have a history of low-balling his opponent.s

Khan is all wrong for Morales IMO.

Maidana has the right style for Morales to do well against, and possibly pull off an upset. Khan is likely to make Morales look like the shop-worn guy he is.

makes sense fighters that move and box rather than stand toe to toe was probably eriks weakness once khan moves up since personally i think hes too big for light welterweight anyway i truly gives morales a good chance of doing something at 140
we know he can beat maidana and maybe with 2 eyes he will do it
bradley i think morales could beta him on technique
alexander i think is over rated
only question mark for me is guerrero who i still think will be flying up the weights very soon

Morales struggles with speed and moving targets, he wants you to come to him.

Maidana-Morales II is not only more sensible, it's also cost-efficient, seeing as it'll be a pretty decent event.

Morales has reinvented himself, so I don't mind him getting paid fighting stylistically pleasing fighters, like Maidana and Matthysse. (I think fight fans will find Morales fighting come-forward pressure fighters more pleasing than Morales-Khan)

Morales is years out of his prime, at least a few weight classes above his ideal weight...I'm not bothered one bit that he doesn't want the Khan bout. And at this stage, Khan shouldn't want that bout either.

Brilliant, I think Morales beat Maidana first time around. He should rightfully claim his victory over Maidana

At this point in his career nobody can blaim morales for his chooses, luckily he knows perfectly that khan is wrong for him at this point.

This messes up khan's plans somewhat. I'm sure money will talk. Guerrero will beat maidana anyways, worse than khan or morales did.

I hope you give Maidana credit when he stops Guerrero, i don't want any "he was just a lightweight, he was a bum".

(Oh and for the last time, Morales didn't beat Maidana)

He never mentioned khan in his latest interview. He said he will be rooting for maidana agints guerero because he want a rematch! I read it from the scene.
Morales is not a ducker. Stupid!

Exactly. Morales is not a ducker he is warrior. I dunno why everyone tries to put Khan into every equation. I understand tht if Eric beats Lucas then Amir could have chosen to fight him in December but i think we should respect ATG's preference of fighting Marcos over anyone else at this point in his illustrious career. I haven't read his latest interview but i'll take your word that he didn't mention Khan :)

Well considering I expect guerrero to smack maidana around the ring worse than khan or morales managed, of course i'd give maidana credit for a victory.

You're post generally doesn't make sense. If you expect one man to win clearly and the opponent emerges victorious, credit is always due.

Yeah morales took him to school for a good honest 7-5

A fighter at that stage of his career, only has a limited amount of resurgence. So he's better advised to spend that time against styles that are more suited to his current game. Khan is not one of those styles, therefore it's not necessary to fight him.
