Why dont they just give Morales the paper belt? the fight is still a title fight. Anthony Crolla could be a possible opponent. but, it is so obvious to see what is going on even a blind ****** can see it. WBC is the laughing stock of boxing. Sillyman is a disgrace to boxing. De la Hoya is perhaps the wost promoter in the game since he lets this crap happen right before our eyes like they did with the Alvarez fight. WBC, the C stands for crooks or any word u want :yep

Yep, WBC belt has become a mere promotional tool for Golden Boy/Top Rank and latin fighters.

If Crolla is the fight it probably wont get santiconed. Thats why Schafer says its a back up back up plan because they wnt Morales to fight for the title and if he fights Crolla it might not be for the title. we shall see but the WBC is jacked up

well there are some exceptions. it can be argued though Ortiz didn't earn/deserve his shot, he wasn't top 10 at JWW and Aydin was the mandatory who'd been ****ed about a couple of times by Berto and the WBC. he only got the shot being a GBP fighter

I said it was a promotional tool for GBP/Top Rank fighters. Pac was atleast the best at welter, Margo was the one who didn't deserve his shot. That fight was a joke (for a 154 belt), Sulaiman was the one who pushed for it.

Crolla isn't a light welterweight (hell, he was at super featherweight less than a year ago) and is ranked #23 by the WBC at lightweight. :huh

How can he contend for the 140lb title having never had a single qualifying bout at the weight to get ranked? It isn't like he's a lightweight world champion moving up. He's number twenty three. Being British champ is all well and fine, but..

probably, but it sucks that fighters like aydin who earn their mandatory will never get his shot because of GBP/WBC corruption/collusion. Champs like Martinez getting stripped to make a belt available for a hype job like Chavez Jr to pick up a belt without beating the champ is equally dispicable

this is wrong. Titles are not something you just hand someone even if the opponent calls it off, that is too bad, but don't just hand Morales a World title belt. Let him earn the title fight like he should have in the first place instead of losing to Maidana.

I hate to say it, but I think Crolla might give Morales hell. He would have been a serious underdog against Matthysse in my mind, but Crolla ain't half bad. Sure, he's not a real 140 pounder, but neither is Morales.

by beating a paper champ. Sadly 90% of all title holders are paper champions.
