If he knows he can get the psychological advantage by doing that, then he's a smart man. Any fighter that is mentally strong shouldnt have to worry about that, the ones that arent, well..maybe they should work on that!

Not true. The padding in gloves don't make nearly as much of a difference as you think. Its all in the fighter's head.

its not a psychological advantage, its physical advantage he knows the gloves are more padded.

Ive sparred Big punchers with different gloves and the impact is reduced with different gloves.

It seems like these clowns are doing their best to ignore this one question right here....a fighter whos prime years were at 122-126lbs manages to rock a naturally bigger 140lber in Maidana wearing WINNING GLOVES, you know the gloves that will make Gerald McClellan's punching power look like Paulie Malgnaggi's :hey

The only advantages winning gloves have is that they will protect your hands more than from wearing reyes gloves.

It doesn't matter what you say. Scientific evidence and experimentation has shown that the padding in gloves doesn't matter when it comes to amount of force transfered.

My freind broke a kids cheek bone in sparring with less padded gloves.

he also KNocked out a huge guy with a punch to the eye with less padded gloves. The guy said it felt like a "Brick hit him"

The thing is the thicker gloves only effect/mainly HUGE/Devestating punchers.

He usually bruises, gives people nosebleeds etc with thicker gloves,
Again it largely effects only huge punchers. He was a very big puncher.

They shouldn't aggrevate the skin as much dude to the different types of leather used in each. Of course if you get hit to much it isn't going to make any difference as your face will still end up looking like a butchers chopping block.

The difference are minute but I do think a lot of it is mental.

The difference, Barrera is not a power dependent guy like Maidana.

I been hit by Grant and Reyes gloves. Id much prefer to get hit with grant gloves. Thats scientific enough for me.

That said, Maidana couldnt land **** anyways, 1 out of 10? Made Morales look like sweet pea in there.

The amount of force doesnt change, the type of impact changes.

You cant deny this is true cause it is if i hit u with 10kg of feathers it will do much less damage, than if i hit you with my bare fist.

EVEN THOUGH THE FORCE IS THE SAME.

You keep ignoring what the science is saying and talking about all of these nonsensical personal stories that mean nothing.

Maidana couldn't stop a glass jawed Khan wearing everlast. He's an overrated puncher. The gloves have nothing to do with it.

So Morales is unfair, why take away your opponent's best weapon.
