Someone posted a link to an article on gloves a week or so back that was very enlightening. You can take two pair of the same gloves out of the package new and they may not be the same. Search on this site sucks though... Found it: http://www.eastsideboxing.com/forum/showthread.php?t=300156
This :deal everyone, probably maidana's trainers included, thought he would get an early stoppage. I was actually very worried for morales especially being the fight was announced only about 6-8 weeks ago or so, wondering how morales could possibly show up in the best shape possible. Looks like despite being flabby he has way better stamina than expected, due to training in the mountains. His skills and timing are there, his defense is underrated. Just he is slow and doesnt have much power, but gave him a hell of a fight when most people were expecting him to be stopped before the 6th
The padding might not make a difference in "power" but I assure you a knuckle hurts a lot worst than a glove.
I dont get it, I could have sworn you just said the padding doesnt make a difference in terms of force transfereed...:think As someone said, its not so much as the amount of force transferred, but the type of impact. Thats why I asked you to experiment, as then you would have first hand experience to call on rather than your "scientific evidence". I have first hand experience on it but since you wont take my word for it, maybe you can be try it yourself.
And Maidina is VERY lucky Morales made him wear those gloves if not for that he would Had been Stopped by Morales. In fact he should thank him for that!
Maidana knew he lost as soon as he was announced the winner. You can tell he was thinking, "Please put me down I don't deserve this win," when he was on the shoulders of one of his cornermen.
