Bit of a tangent here. But as you get older, naturally you gain more mass. Generally if we all look at our highschool pictures, then look at our driver’s licenses when we're about 30. I guarantee most of our faces will be fuller and I assume some would gained at least 20lbs.

As for fighters, some get lazy and some can’t do it anymore. It depends on the fighter. Fighters lie and say they walk around 5lbs over their fight weight. I've even heard Amir Khan say less than that. I’m telling you that’s bull****. Someone like Floyd Mayweather or Carl Froch may do it but they're the exceptions. Common sense. You can lose 3-5lbs in a day. I have done it.

So you know fighters aren’t walking around 5lbs off weight. World class fighters walk around when they are not training 10 or more pounds over weight, and that’s being modest. Most are 15 to 20lbs over. Just look at the next day weigh ins. The fighter’s weight usually go up at least 7 or 8lbs and that’s on one day rehydration and eating.

I digress...

 

Not overly impressed by Garcia tonight. Taught the fight was much closer than judges verdict. Ajose Olusegun will defeat Garcia of that there is no doubt. I hope Erik El Terrible Morales now retires. He has been nothing more than a great credit to this sport.
