Am I wrong on this? Like I said there was a lot of radar interference with the TV signal but Floyd was walking in, slipping, and beating the crap out of Shane.

Sorry if I wasn't clear on this.

He pretty much took the fight to Mosley, draining his energy with body shots and such.

I was just assuming that this would be more difficult to do to a fighter who leaps about the place. But if he does manage to drain his energy, perhaps then the right hands will be more dangerous...

... Just trying to picture the fight in my head I suppose.

You know alot of people talk about floyd not throwing combos and equate that to him not being able to do it anymore/not having it in him. But if you could be people with a simple one two, then y go in your bag of tricks.

Not saying you feel that way but i dont see why people can get it...people say that all floyd does is simply throw one twos or pot shots. But ****, if the opponent cant stop it then why should you go to something else.

it makes me think back when i was on a deployment and was the MAdden king at the base, people would say "he aint got no game, all he runs is 3 plays and thats it." I would respond asking them what would that say about your sorry ass if you cant stop three simple plays... you have four ****ing qtrs to figure out how to stop them and you cant, meanwhile i stop everything you do.... I would also tell them them i can run every play in my playbook and when you stop those 3, i will add 3 more. IF you want to see me run every pplay then you need to keep stopping me...

i know its a video game but an intelligent person will get my point... Any boxer who prepares for floyd will only prepare with the expectation of him potshotting, moving around the ring, shoulder rolling, because that is all he appears to do nowadays but what are you going to do if you end up with the combo throwing, come forward, high guard mayweather...you didnt prepare for that...

If it aint broke dont fix it is what i was always taught... If all floyd has to do is one hit and two hit combos to win, then i dont blame him for doing it, if he loses because of it then maybe next time he'll approach it differently.. Im out

I was pretty much commenting specifically on his actions in the Shane fight. I have no idea how to even imagine the fight between Floyd and Manny. I'd love to just ****ing watch it. But basically, he wasn't afraid to work Shane over the way he did which goes a lot against his playing it safe tendencies he's been known for as of late. Especially after getting tagged. He could have been content with tagging Shane and playing keep away but he didn't.

Floyd's "pulling counter" is one shot. He doesn't follow up. Not to mention that since he moved up in weight, he rarely throws combinations. He one shots and move away.

Morales' strategy was only effective once. He failed to implement that strategy again in their 2nd and 3rd fight.

He threw a lot against Mosley. Not crazy 5 punch combinations but in his more aggressive style with Mosley there were a ton of 2 punch combinations, way more than usual from him and probably some 3 punch combos.

It was one of the main things that stuck out in my mind his him using the a jab to setup a right ect. in that fight.

Im not convinced that Mayweather needs to be throwing 4 punch combinations all the time against Pac, he will have more than enough countering opportunities when Pac is trying to figure out the distance and jump in and out, Mayweather has a big reach advantage and equal speed which Pac isnt used to dealing with, he will be able to catch him coming in and out with 1-2's. I expect Pac to drop his output when he is being effectively countered.

I think there is more to it than going against his principles, I believe that Mayweather knows somewhere deep down that Shane would be able to break through his shoulder roll. I think the high guard is evidence, Shane's power shots, well the punches with meaning were more effective at mid ranges and by walking in, it pretty much negated everything.

Pac's also a mid range fighter. That high guard probably threw Shane's game off, I noticed he wasn't using his shoulder roll. He was out there to shock people and really show that he has plenty of everything for anyone.

What? Pull counter? None of Floyds opponents are southpaws. It's not gonna work against Pac and he knows this that's why he lost the urge to fight, he's on vacation, and getting married!
