Marquez shouldnt even consider it right now. My boy needs to fight a tune up then a contender and then fight Marquez. But Eriks being El Terrible.
Why in hell would'nt he accept it? A Morales fight is JMM's best payday at 135 lbs. Its just how boxing works.....Morales is a reconginized name, and the promotion would be fairly easy and simple.......the promotion would be billed as the cycle of the mini-fab four being completed. Finally this is an easy real payday that JMM has earned to take. I've been saying it for weeks now that the Morales fight is whats next for JMM. The only dissapointment for me is that Morales actually wants and is pushing for the fight......I'd rather much see JMM face either Juan Diaz, Campbell, or Guzman.....but boxing being the business that it is, the Morales fight is a bigger payday than any of those mentioned fighters for JMM. Easy money for JMM.....a pity that it has to come at the expense of a fighter in Erik Morales that I truly respect. If the fight comes about, it will be bittersweet for me!
Its not up to JMM to make that call. JMM is ready now, if Morales is'nt, its up to him to make arrangements for a tuneup before facing JMM.
OMG divac! you're the ultimate JMM nutswinger here... no doubt about it! :rofl Another shot fighter in JMM's resume. well done! :happy
Lauging is all someone can do when they dont have the answers to my post!:yep What lightweight would JMM make more money than fighting Erik Morales? You want to take a stab at that question Enzo, or do you want to brush the question off with a :rofl ???? What lightweight matchup nets JMM more money than a Morales matchup to complete the mini-fab four cycle? .....and who's nuthugging hear Enzo? You really should learn to read and comprehend before responding to a post......I clearly stated in my post that I'd wish Morales would'nt get in the way of better fights being made at 135 lbs for JMM with Diaz, Campbell and Guzman........yet I"m called a nuthugger by you for stating the financial truth of the matter.
Divac, At this stage of Morales career. Lost count how many losses he has in his last six fights.. we all know that he is all washed up! Cmon man! You know that! I'll be serious in saying that I'll give MORE to credit if JMM beats Valerro than if he beats Morales at this stage of Morales career. For the sake of arguement, who ever fights Morales now will have very little credit. .. Damn but if the PRICE Is RIGHT! WHO cares about credit especially at this stage of US/world economy!!!
No way in hell will this fight ever happen. Eric is something like 200 lbs right now. I don't see him going down to 135 or even 147 next year.
Cant you comprehend????? I said in my initial post that it was an easy fight for JMM.....Easy when talking about a great like Morales, means he's shot. You answer the question for Enzo......what a bigger money fight out there for JMM at 135 lbs than a Morales fight? As far as netting JMM more money, this is the order that I see at lightweight for JMM...... Morales Diaz Campbell Guzman Guzman and Campbell are pretty close, but Campbell get the edge imo as he has the bigger mouth to hype the promotion. Lets be honest here. Diaz, Campbell and Guzman are better fights for JMM, but none of them are household names, and dont even come close to being as recognized as Morales. The only thing I'm saying is that a JMM-Morales fight will happen if thats what Morales wants.....and JMM will take it because thats the biggest money fight for him at this point in time at lightweight. I dont believe I can fault any fighter for taking on the biggest possible money fight out there for him. Every fighter shoots for the least risk/highest reward ratio......thats what Morales is for JMM. Now if anyone wants to respond to my post, debate the points I'm making, not the fact that its not the fight you as a bonafide boxing fan would want to see......its not the fight I'd want to see, but its the fight that is likely to happen because the casual fan would be more apt to pay for it.
It'd be another money fight, little to gain for JMM... But since Juan Manuel fought for a little amount of money even in his Pacquiao fights, he deserves a payday between two legitimate LW title fights. It's not that he never wanted Morales... it's Erik who never wanted him in his prime...
Cool down buddy!!! I get your point no worries! A fight with dIAZ,campbell and guzman will give JMM $$$ and credit A fight with morales will give JMM some $$$ ! At the current stage of morales, I'll be surprised if morales lasts 4 or 5 rounds!!! Hypothetical question morales vs casa NOW... i'd say casa by UD!
