Rate them please on the ATG list?

I just wonder how low DLH is regarded here on ESB and wanna know precisely how.

IMO their all probably around the same bracket, whichever you rate them on. Top 60/50/40 etc... You can say Oscar should be higher than both morales & MAB because of who he faced but its also who he beat.

    thanks

Is it true to say: Morales is ATG because he beat ATG Barrera and Barrera is ATG cause he beat ATG Morales?

No, both were ATGs before that.

Let's pretend Morales wasn't ATG at the time against Barrera, then by your train of thought, Barrera can't be acclaimed ATG for beating Morales, when he already was before facing Morales in the first place. It just reinforced, or enhanced if you will, his position.

    Ummmm

    Morales for OLD Zaragoza
    MAB for Hamed

Let's make a bit of analysis on resumes:

    Morales
    Great fights:
    Pacman
    MAB (close) x3
    Good fights:
    Zaragoza (OLD)
    Junior Jones
    Pocket Rocket
    Jesus Chavez
    Famozo Hernandez
    Kevin Kelly
    In Jin Chi (close)
    Poly Ayala (above prime weight)

    Barrera
    Great fights:
    Morales (close) x3
    Hamed
    Good fights:
    McKinney
    Kevin Kelly (OLD)
    Tapia (above prime weight)
    Poly Ayala (above prime weight)

    ODLH
    Great fights:
    Quartey (close)
    Tito (close)
    Mosely-2 (close)
    Good fights:
    Whitaker (close)
    JC Chavez (OLD) x2
    Camacho (OLD)
    Miguel Angel Gonzalez
    Oba Carr
    Rafael Ruelas
    Vargas
    Mayorga
    Campas (OLD)
    Paez (OLD)
    Molina (above prime weight)
    Hernandez (above prime weight)
    Leija (above prime weight)

I don't use word 'win' because close fight with great fighter may be better than KO win over tomato can.

It seems like Oscar has better resume than both and certainly better than MAB

Interesting perspective but fighters are judged mainly on who they beat, not on who they fought. And if you were gonna list close fights as wins you might aswell list JMM for MAB too. I also find it interesting that you have Quartey a "great" win for ODLH yet dont have Junior Jones as one for Morales despite Jones having achieved more than Quartey.

The real list is more like:

    Morales
    Great fights:
    Pacman
    MAB (close) x3
    Good fights:
    Zaragoza (OLD)
    Junior Jones
    Pocket Rocket
    Jesus Chavez
    Famozo Hernandez
    Kevin Kelly
    In Jin Chi (close)
    Poly Ayala (above prime weight)
    Wayne Mcullough

    Barrera
    Great fights:
    Morales (close) x3
    Hamed
    Good fights:
    McKinney
    Kevin Kelly (OLD)
    Tapia (above prime weight)
    Poly Ayala (above prime weight)
    Rocky Juarez
    Robbie Peden
    Agapito Sanchez

    ODLH
    Great fights:

    Good fights:
    Quartey (close)
    Whitaker (close)
    JC Chavez (OLD) x2
    Camacho (OLD)
    Miguel Angel Gonzalez
    Oba Carr
    Rafael Ruelas
    Vargas
    Mayorga
    Campas (OLD)
    Paez (OLD)
    Molina (above prime weight)
    Hernandez (above prime weight)
    Leija (above prime weight)

Like I said, ODLH gets credit for all his close fights with other greats and of sheer number of good opponents. However based on actual wins, those 3 are very close to each other.

I'd say they be all pretty close to each other.. Morales & Barrera are about even in my opinion.. I'd rank DLH a little bit behind those two.. Anywhere between maybe 80-100 maybe??

I wonder what a breakdown of PBF and Pac's resumes would look like using the same standards!

Jones was exposed as china chinned before he met Morales 3 TIMES, and the 3rd was right before Morales, so it's hardly even a good win. Win over Quartey was much better as Quartey really was the elite fighter, top-3 in ac crowded division.

If you use actual wins, then Morales have only 1 win and Barrera 2 wins against each other.

You said it, but didn't give. I did, as shown in resume. Putting such fights on Hoya's resume is much more credible, then putting Hop, Winky and RJJ on Tito's.

Who did Quartey beat that was remotely as great as MAB? Case closed.

1 win, 2 wins...to be honest I didnt even bother looking at that as I was just counting amount of names, not amount of times over the same name.

I did give it. If I didnt give it I would have said MAB & Morales rank well above ODLH simply based on the fact that they beat great fighters in their prime whereas ODLH did not. However I acknowledged that ODLH had close fights with great fighters in their prime and so therefore I ranked those 3 more or less equal.

If not for the lost to Floyd it would be Oscar by a landslide.

To me its a no brainer Oscar is clearly the greater of the three by a mile.
