    ATG list

    1. Barrera
    2. Morales
    3. Marquez.

Barrera and Morales are both close and you could make an arguement either way for who should be placed 1st.

    Skill, technical ability, talent, etc.

    1. Marquez
    2. Barrera
    3. Morales.

I personally think that Marquez at his best is the most complete boxer and fundementally the soundest. Again, it's very close between him and Barrera.

Marquez has the best skills and is the most well rounded. Barrera is a beast that can put on clinics, destroy and disect people. Morales is giving anyone in history hell, it takes something special or some special circumstances to beat him and still you'll be in a war doing so.

I think H2H Morales has to be the best, the other two seem a little more vulnerable and neither has shown the level of drive Morales has to pull it off in uphill battles.

Resume-wise, the victory over Pacquiao puts Morales just ahead in my opinion. One of the greatest wins of all time

    ATG list

    Morales
    Barrera
    Marquez

    H2H list

    Morales
    Marquez
    Barrera

how the hell do people go around claiming Morales is better than Barrera when Barrera beat him when they fought at their peaks? and am I the only one who thinks Marquez doesn't even approach Barrera in terms of technical skills

  8. Marquez does not belong in 1 same sentence in Barrera and the great ATG in the Morales.

    1)Morales
    2)Barrera
    3)Marquez

Well for one, styles make fights. And anyway that trilogy was as evenly matched as you get.

Theres no Junior Jones(well technically there is, as Morales destroyed him in 4 rounds) type losses smack bang in the middle of Morales' prime.

Barrera, coming off a great streak, was outclassed by Pacquiao. Morales then defeated the rampaging Pacquiao soon after.

Barrera is easily the best of the three.

Because it's their entire careers you base the placements of greatness when ranking fighters. You can't rate one fighter over the other because one beat the other when at their peaks.

However, I do agree....Barrera over Morales.

Nah. You could maybe say that Barrera is better, I'm surely most on here can see sense in that. But I'm sure that everyone who reads what you posted will laugh, whether they choose Barrera or Marquez. Simply because to say Marquez, "doesn't even approach" Barrera regarding technical skills is like saying LaMotta's chin is made of rock and Hagler's is made of plastic.

Anyway, if that ur take, fair enough.

I like Barrera and Marquez. But could never take to Morales.

In my opinion, Marquez beat Pacquaio the first time. He was knocked down three times in the 1st, lost the 2nd, and after that I could only give Pac one clear round. Maybe a draw of another.

I feel that the Marquez of 2004-2006 in his prime at featherweight would have beaten Morales or Barrera.

I had Marquez beating Barrera at super-featherweight. 8 rounds to 4. Both were past their best then....Barrera more though.
