Morales vs Paquiao I is a great must see fight. Morales was an underdog, but not by much. I'm a Pac-Man fan and would be the first to say that a prime Morales would of beat Paquiao by a larger margin, if not stopped on more serious cuts. Manny is naturally gifted with speed, strength, and his ability to withstand punishment. That fight shows, it's going to take a Technically sound fighter who can take a shot to beat Manny.
Morales in his prime was awesome. I can't see any other fighter to beat Manny, except maybe Marquez but he failed as well twice.
EM simply outclassed the guy. You had to watch it live to see it in action. I was dissapointed that Pac lost but he never gave up and he fought through the cut but it wasn't enough. I thought the fight was even before the headbutt but EM took advantage of a nasty cut plain simple. The undercard featuring Jorge Arce vs Hussein Hussein was even better than the main event.
Do you mean that there would have been more headbutts? The one cut was caused by a butt, not by a punch. It was a great battle. The cut swayed the fight in morales' favor and he appeared to have just edged it.
A great fight...but an even greater performance by EM. Pac looked unstoppable coming into that fight but Morales turned back the clock and pulled off an amazing one time performance. Eventually reality set in and Pac took the sequel and the rubber match...but god damn what a great showing. The 12th round to me, was always Morales' way of retiring himself. Like an "let's go out there and end with a bang" sort of deal by going southpaw and getting batted around that 12th round. I think only his pride and money brought him back for 2 and 3.

I was at wildcard leading up to the fight, on Pacquiaos end he had Murad on his ass, knowing that Manny was looking to get rid of him after finding out Murad was stealing boat loads of Mannys cash, **** it was like they had babysitters there to make sure Roach and Fortune didnt talk manny into leaving Murad. just about five days before the fight, Roach found out that Murad did not read the full contract for Morales before he signed, they found that the contract had in it the use of Winnings gloves, Roach had to scramble to get some of those gloves to get Manny sparrign with them and working with them as much as they could before the fight. Then when they hit Vegas Manny and family went up to their suite and guess who was there? Murad, and you know what, he told Manny he needed to get his own room. Manny and family had to pack up and shack up in a small cheap motel off the strip. it was a ****ing Mess on Mannys end I am surprised he did as well as he did in the fight.

No he didn't. Morales won it clear 7-5 but neither man touched the canvas, which is one card Vegas judges got right for once in their lives. Pacquiao was a 1.5:1 - 2:1 favorite for the first fight, which like the Barrera fight, was his first in a new weight class.
Murad has always been as corrupt as it gets, from using his "bed and breakfast" connections with the IBF to losing Roy Jones over what else? Disappearing money. While he deserves credit for getting Pacquiao his break as a late sub for Ledwaba and an HBO TV date, he was more than compensated on his initial investment by fleecing Pacman in his first PPV.
