I think there is a difference in how Morales quit compared to say how Ortiz quit against Maidana. Morales probably felt just like anyone else watching that fight that he had nothing to offer to give Pac a good fight. He even said it after the fight. Ortiz was beating Maidana before he said he doesn't deserve getting beat up that way. Same with De La Hoya-Pacquiao. Why prolong a beating especially if you want to fight another day.

If Pac did roid up, that was the fight. He was so damn ripped it wasnt funny. Morales thought he was getting an advantage moving up the weight, but Pac was a beast and he got hit with huge punches; punches unlike anything he had ever faced probably. He was smart to quit when he did, or he was going to die with his granite chin.

In fairness to AA, he was taking a huge amount of Ward's punches to the gloves. Although the jab was effective at keeping AA off him, Ward wasn't scoring a lot of those punches.

Froch was shooting straight through the middle and actually scoring with the jab.
