I thought this was the easiest fight to score of the 3, it was a good blend of their 1st 2 fights.

Barrera won 4-2 the 1st half of the fight & Morales 4-2 the 2nd half of the fight.

I thought EM made a mistake coming in at 143 pounds (he should have came in at 140 as he did in his next fight vs Pacquiao aswell as his previous fight vs Hernandez) on the night as I think he thought MAB was there to be taken out after the beating he took in the Pacquiao bout. He went for power in this fight when movement & the jab is what troubles MAB most as showed in their 2nd fight.

Barrera showed he wasnt at all a finished fighter & EM really had to grind out 2 brutal rds in rds 11 & 12 just to pull even on my card.

I scored this fight a draw but have no problem with the decision.

    What do you think ?

Perhaps the easiest fight to score, 115-113 MAB.

Not disagreeing with you as it was close & I had it a draw myself but just curious.... what rds, if you can remember did you give each man ?

    I gave Morales 2, 4, 7, 8, 11 & 12..... & MAB 1, 3, 5, 6, 9 & 10 (obviously)

I remember rds 3, 4 & 11 were most difficult to score & I gave EM 2 of those which is why I never argue with the verdict.

I also thought this was a more exciting fight than the 2nd but no where near as good as the 1st.

Rd 11 was the 2nd best rd of the entire trilogy, beaten only by rd 5 in their 1st fight.

I haven't seen the fight in a while, I watched it many times though but forgot my exact scoring..... It was close but clear decision for Barrera IMO... I thought the right man got the nod.

MAB took it hands down... it was moderately paced fight that catered to his counters and body work. Morales did win at least 4 rd tho.

More astonishingly it was Ring Mag FOTY ... now certainly there was a better fight in '04 because this one was a nothing compared to the first two epic battles.
