Morales v Marquez, winner to fight Khan

    Sounds like an interesting matchup. Morales and Marquez both want the fight, Golden Boy happy to negotiate it, Schaefer says the winner could be a potential opponent for Khan.

    Obv will be next year and hopefully they both keep winning! (cant see Morales getting beat from Limond, altho I wish him luck!)

    Sounds interesting, but nothing thats planned too far in advance ever works out! As we all know

    Not sure mate. Morales says in the article he wants to fight one more after Limond so with Marquez facing Katsidis (?) it will be next year. Schaefer seems eager for it and has spoken to both as he says.

    Oh right, I wasn't sure if it was saying Marquez v Morales next...:good

    I'd rather see Marquez in with Morales (no matter how far gone he is)...than Marquez v Khan anyway.

    Aye, would be good to see them fight. Altho I've never been really hoping it happens (like mayweather v pacq scale) it would be good to see them fight considering they were at the same weights through their career along with Barrera and Pacq but never fought.

    Why wouldn't they want it? Morales and Marquez can make money fighting each other fighting in a higher weight against a smaller guy. It is not an elite matchup anymore. Morales is the real great of the two I think.

    Marquez v Morales was the one fight I wanted to see happen but didn't.

    Plus the fact that Marquez is coming to the end of his career, and the only reason Khan's team want to get him in the ring is to use him as a stepping stone. In a similar way they used Barrera, for his name alone.

    I don't think Khan v Marquez would be a competitive matchup at all at this point...Khan's speed, size and youth would win.

    At least we would see two greats in the ring in Marquez and Morales...

    Morales is looking far too ahead right now.

    Limond could easily look like the Raheem fight again.

    Limond is no joke! Watch him fighting Khan and decking him! (Before losing with a broken jaw - or suspected broken jaw). He was just too eager to finish it and tables turned.

    I think Marquez easily beats Morales. Marquez has seen better days but i still believe he is an elite fighter. However id say Morales would be lucky to beat a fringe contender. I think id even pick a Prime Marquez over Prime Morales(styles) although it would probably have been very close.

    I've not seen Morales fight since he came back. Dont know what kind of form he is in. But Marquez is still looking good! Hope he quits while he's ahead and doesnt keep fighting for too long.
