Morales' victory over a prime Pacquiao is not to be taken lightly

Morales did not dominate Pacquiao. He did not hurt Pac. He did not KO pac. He was even hurt in the fight against Pacquiao.

But what he did do is something no man had ever done or ever will do. He defeated a prime Manny Pacquiao clearly and decisively. In a clear 7 rounds to 5 decision. And even turned southpaw to brawl with Pacquiao in the last round.

Marquez failed, MAB failed, Hatton failed, DLH failed, Cotto failed (despite size huge advantage), Ledwaba failed, Margarito failed, Mayweather ducked. Morales did what nobody else could do and that was clearly beat a peak Pacquiao. And he even went completely badass in the last round.

So next time you think about critiquing Morales consider this; he clearly beat the greatest fighter we've seen in a very long time and did it without any doubt.

Marquez beat a prime pacquiao clearly twice.

    Pacquiao is an overrated fighter.

Marquez DID NOT. He beat a 33 year old 147 pound pac. He had 2 cracks at a prime Pacquiao. And failed both times.

With truckloads of steroids in him Manny was close to unbeatable

It took a fighter of Marquez' caliber to do it

And he did it 4 times

One of the often forgotten moments is in fight 2 when JMM KO's him and as he's unconscious falling to the ground, the roids kick in and Manny somehow lands on his feet again

It defies all laws of physics

I personally thought the scorecards were very good in all the Pac-Marquez fights. Is someone wants to make the case that Juan actually could've gotten the nod in one or two of them, fine. Screaming "He was ROBBED!!!" is way over the top though, IMO

The OP is right, Morales did in fact win fair and square vs prime Manny and is the only person two do so. Of course, the next two fights looked pretty painful for him. Until he got his checks anyway.

Don't forget that before Floyd offered Pac a 50/50 fight and Pac refused the fight...Pac was ktfo by Torrecampo and Singsurat and almost ko'd by a Hussein jab.

That first fight had to be extremely satisfying for Morales. Because MAB was completely inhaled by Pacquiao. And Marquez was dropped HARD and could not beat Pac. And Morales went back to Mexico saying I handled the Pac.

That ignores the premise of the thread. Morales is the only man to best Prime Pac. And it's a victory that shouldn't be lost in history.

The premise was to say Floyd ducked Pac keep it G. And when I read what you wrote, I just chalked it up as you don't know what the boxing term "duck" means. You never did. You accomplished that. If you want rain, be prepared for the mud.

He was doing OK on the card until he was stopped. The little secret about Pac and Morales is kind of kept under wraps. I don't think Pac can beat a prime Morales. Sure Pac has a punchers chance if he lands THE haymaker. But a prime Morales is usually going to beat Pac.
