Either that or you didnt saw any of those fights. Anyone who scored the first fight for Morales doesnt have a clue how to score a fight and should look for a new sport to follow.
Only seen this one out of the trilogy. I thought Barrera won clearly but the action was fantastic. I didn't even watch this live as well.
It depends what you were looking for. I had it for Morales but someone may have liked the hard shots from MAB. HBO gave R5 to MAB I think because of his bursts. That told me all I needed to know. They were watchnig the wrong fight.
If you scored it for Barrera you should watch mma or backyard wrestling cause you dont know **** about Boxing.
You really think Morales won the first ? If so go watch golf ! http://www.hbo.com/boxing/inside/decades-best/multimedia/fights-of-the-decade-morales-barrera.html
a couple things. i just read an interview with duane ford, the only judge who scored the fight for barrera. he said the only reason he gave the fight to mab was because of the knockdown in the 12th (which was really a slip). Barrera landed the harder punches but, morales was the more active fighter and the compubox stats favored morales. lastly, i don't have the slightest idea how merchant, lampley or anyone else could have scored the 5th round for barrera. morales landed about 50 right hands that round before mab had the 2 punch rally on the ropes. i scored the first fight a draw with the knockdown but, i think lampley influenced the public by cheerleading for barrera. the second fight was more lopsided imo. that fight morales won by at least 3-4 rounds. the third fight barrera won on my card by a round.
i did watch all of the fights (watch the 2nd one again yesterday) and scored the 2nd battle 115-113 Erik Morales :deal
"now morales is badly hurt" lol. lampley had barrera's dick in his mouth all fight. morales was never hurt, he was throwing punches right after barrera's rally.
As I recall, I had it 6 rounds apiece, with Barrera winning by a point if you score the "knockdown" in round 12.
