More importantly, do Morales and Barrera still hate each other?

There was a pic on reddit a few days ago of both fighters and their wives at dinner.

Apparently chavez sr asked them to put aside their differences

I remember Morales was interviewed sometime after the first Pac fight and he was asked about his sparring session with Floyd. He said (I may be paraphrasing slightly); "All I know is, I'd give him the toughest fvcking fight of his life."

I think Floyd would always be a bad match-up stylistically for Morales but I'd love to have seen them fight at 130lbs; Morales from the Espada rematch v Floyd from the Chico fight.

MAB waited to Morales was semi-shot. Also in the 3rd fight Barrera was caught with a saline drip in his arm but got a TUE weeks after the fight by corrupt USADA, while Morales was denied a shot he needed for legit reason. Also, Erik injured his left arm in the 4th & if you re-watch the fight in slo-mo Morales wins clearly.

That is strange but quite cool that Morales is your 2nd favourite fighter.

Good to hear that they are chill with each other now, holding on to the hate Joe Frazier style can't be healthy and the 2 each helped cement the others claim to legend.

Floyd was too good at those lower weights. Don't think Morales stood much of a chance. Although he did have the same reach as Floyd and Floyd would not be able to hurt him.

Morales was a very impressive fighter, i dont know if he would've beaten Floyd. Give Floyd a run for his money, sure i could see that . Castillo was barely able to edge a win against Floyd in fight 1. But those are 2 different fighters.
Anyway, ive heard of this rivalry from way back then. This is not the first time me hearing about this story. But Who knows what really happen between them two.

Thats boxing. You going to have a bad night eventually. Morales came up short against the very skilled Raheem.
The same way Raheem came up short against the very agressive Frietas.
Its not always going to be your night.

Castillo never beat Floyd. Only Floyds haters believe Castillo won.

If he won the fight I would say he won. He didn't win. I can't see a case for him winning more rounds than Floyd.

Naww , Castillo beat Floyd . That's what I saw . You don't believe so . That's fine . I hope you would be always truthful . Remember one thing , when you ride for a certain fighter . Praise him when he deserves to be praised . But always keep a stack and call him out when things don't go his way .
