You guys are picking and choosing the Floyd that you want to fight Morales. Morales has not beaten a fighter with with skills that come close to Floyd's. Morales really didn't beat Barrera, and had a weight advantage over PAc the first time they fought. Don't pick the floyd who went the distance with 6 other SFW fighters, pick the Floyd who beat chico, and you can pick the morales who beat Pac lol. no contest. If you are going to compare Morales and Floyd, and ask us who wins, then be real. Use the best of both guys. You can't say this is a fantasy match up, and pit both guys at the same size, same weight. That is so damn stupid lol. They both fought at 130, so pick best version of both fighters.

Alexis Arguello, Henry Armstrong, Julio Cesar Chavez, Roberto Duran fought at 130 also.
    Take your pick.

You reckon a 19 year old Duran could do it?
Even as a massive Duran fan Id be sceptical, even though a win over a green but very talented Marcel isnt a bad gauge.

I would actually take the Mayweather from the Corrales fight to edge out an unpolished and weight drained Chavez from his 130 days...not so at any point after that.

Arguello is a good pick..Alexis could stop Mayweather..However I tend to think with the way Alexis could be outboxed by faster, more mobile opponants, Floyd could hold on to the win, barely..especially with the 12 round distance favouring Floyd.

Armstrong would probably mandhandle Floyd I agree..but could be one of those fights where it depends what you like more. Because I could see the defense and speed of Floyd giving Hank a few issues to deal with..almost as much as how Armstrong's strength, body punching and relentless attack will ask questions of Floyd.

Sandy Saddler in his era would beat Floyd 10 times out of 10...Floyd would probably finsih the fight with a smashed pelvis, balls the size of watermelons and at least on broken bone somewhere...But maybe Sandy gets fouled out in this era.

I also reckon Rocky Lockridge and Hector Camacho are good chances of upsetting Floyd.

Floyd is generally overrated I feel...but at 130 he was very, very good and deserves a lot of the praise he gets from his work there. Not to many I would confidently pick over him at the weight, as I have pointed out.
At the same time I wouldnt be overly confident of Floyd getting a win in a lot of those matches, some are very close almost toss ups.

1ST OFF WHO DID ARGUELLO BEAT AT 130 TO SUGGEST HES BETTER AT FLOYD AT 130...THAT IS A JOKE

ARMSTRONG IS A GREAT FIGHTER...WHO IN THE **** DID HE BEAT AT 130 TO SUGGEST HE'S BETTER THAN FLOYD?? DeGrasse, BASS, SARRON..PLEASE....ARMSTRONG IS AN ATG TOP 10 BUT H2H ID FAVOR FLOYD OVER HIM AT 130

JCC BEST WIN AT SFW WAS CASTILLO AND MARTINEZ...JCC WAS A BETTER LW ATG BUT NOT SFW...AGAIN UR OWNED

DURAN IMO IS ARGUABLY THE BEST LW OF ALL TIME...BUT WERE TALKING 130....FLOYD BEATS HIM AT 130

    SCHOOLS OUT!:hi:

EXCELLENT POST..AGREE WITH ALL EXCEPT CAMACHO AND SADDLER...NOBODY AT 130 WOULD "MANHANDLE" FLOYD..SADDLER MAY BEAT HIM THOUGH ID STILL FAVOR FLOYD...BUT NOBODY WOULD MAKE HIM LOOK STUPID..HE STILL HAD GOOD DEFENSE....!!:good

As I said before I think Mayweather would beat Alexis in a 12 round fight..it would be a close one though.

But when comparing records Arguello's is nearly as good...It was shorter but I reckon Limon, Chacon and Escalera would beat just about all the guys Mayweather beat at 130.
Plus he has few other names that escape me but were good fighters.

Floyd is not vastly superior in resume or ability at the weight..he would be only a little bit better...pretty much on par.

Armstrong could..doesnt mean he would get away with a wide win. But Henry epitomizes the physical fighter.

He proved it against better fighters all the way up to middleweight.

yes i agree but his hayday was definitely not at superfeather. may wouldve taken him at 130. because floyd didnt use his slickness as much at the weight, the fight should have been somewhat competetive but he probably take terrible out mid/late rounds.

the 2 items in bold are the only 2 I disagree with...I thought of Lockridge too...his style could upset Floyd ur right...Camacho would not however...I am a big fan of Camacho and he'd come on strong in the 1st few rounds but he wasn't disciplined enough to get the job done....

I'm not gonna argue that Saddler wouldnt beat him cuz that would be 1 hell of a fight, especially with Floyd not scared to trade; but he wouldn't manhandle him by any means...I feel Floyd's size at 130 would be to much though any argument against floyd in a Saddler fight is valid too!

A pre-Rosario Camacho was extremely solid...Id be very interested to see how Floyd goes against a guy who is faster then he is. Plus Hector really had a go back then, threw punches in bunches.

Sandy, in his era is what Im getting at, would be far to much for Floyd...To physical and hits to hard. But the thing is the stuff he would be doing to Floyd wouldnt fly in Floyd's era..so its a hard matchup to discuss.
Floyd packs up shop to often to deal with the rough and tough the top flight fighters got away with back in the day...but he was brought up in a different era.

Regardless overall the only fighter I could even think of placing him below at 130 would be Flash Elorde....but Floyd still has a much better argument of being the GOAT at 130...Good stuff though:bbb

    BY THE WAY

    FLOYD TKO 10 OVER CAMACHO

People have often talked about Mayweather being less defensive at 130, but I think it just depended on the opponent and situation.

Mayweather was defensive and dull against Goyo Vargas, but rarely got hit. He was aggressive in the early going against Carlos Hernandez, but much more on the move after he hurt his hands. Mayweather was on his toes for most of the Corrales fight. He kicked Chico's ass, but he sure showed slickness and it wasn't like he pressed the fight and applied the pressure. Other fights, he was more aggressive.

Same as at 135-140. At 135, he was on the move for much of the Castillo rematch, pot-shotting, defensive against Sosa, but aggressive against Augustus and Ndou. At 140, he was at times reckless against Corley. Against Gatti and Bruseles, he circled, but not as much on the backfoot or on his toes in other fights, and spent his share of time in the pocket.

At 147, he spent much of the Judah fight coming forward. Against Baldomir, he was often on his bike. Against Hatton, it was a nice mixture of being on the backfoot and fighting up close.

I heard Morales roughed Mayweather up in sparring.
