    I'm just messing around :good.
yea i saw that fight, erik was done after that bout.
then pac came and just ate morales in both of those fights, he simply said ''i already wooped this guy once, **** it''.

I was totally happy when he stopped Junior Jones, that's what he gets for beating Barrera (one of my favorite boxers) :yep.

He had PAc running all around the ring. he was beating him up before the butt, andebat him up worse after the butt. PAc was game, but he clearly lost big time. EM was never the same after the Raheem loss. PAc would never beat EM if EM were in his prime.

of course man, when you have 3 epic WARS with barrera you're going to be spent after.

i give tons of respect to morales for creating another trilogy with pacquiao, that shows he has 2 big pair of COJONES :yep.

thats true even in his last fight with Pac he went there and tried to make a fight out of it but he just didnt had it anymore.

Boximg needs more fighters like Morales.

Naw Zero, he only lost to Barrera in 3 classics in which he was not considered faded in any of the 3 epic bouts lol...

True. I honestly felt Pacquiao ruined Morales in the third round of their 2nd fight. From there on Morales just went downhill.

People will remember the 3 EM-MAB fights, and won't remember Emmanuel Dapidran Pacquiao-EM fights except their first fight lol...

One round never ruined EM lol... He always took it like a man, and fought until he couldn't anymore, and that was the Raheem fight.

What a warrior Morales was! One of my favorite fighters. For all the people who didn't like his attitude outside the ring, he was a clean a fighter in the ring as you could get, and most importantly, he never took a round off.

You want to know why Mexico has never embraced Marquez the way they did Morales? Just watch that 12th round to find out.

Comfortably ahead, he switched to southpaw against a man who had brutally stopped an archrival who had shared 36 rounds of pain with him. And still survived the round to get the win.

On the other hand, a guy like Marquez, while infinitely skilled, has rarely shown the risk-taking and all-out propensity to leave it all in the ring, as evidenced by losses against Norwood and John where he was content to leave it in the judges' hands, or wins like Salido and Polo, where he was again content to coast to points victories (much to the dismay of the fans).

While I understand that's his style, you can't have your cake and eat it too.

Back to Morales. I thought he won the first Barrera fight (although you can argue that Marco deserved the second). His loss to Raheem was similar to Wright and Pavlik moving up in weight to face Hopkins in the sense that it wasn't the best account of these fighters because it was clear the weight was too much to carry.

After Raheem, the haters say he was shot by then, when in fact he was leading Pacquiao after 6 in the rematch, trading like the regular El Terrible would. Then I think about Round 7 or so, he got caught with a straight left that broke his nose, and the barrage of body shots broke him down eventually. That I think was the beginning of the end.

However, most would argue (me included) that he beat David Diaz by a point for the WBC lightweight crown, even scoring an early KD on DD, although Diaz's aggression was enough for the judges. I guess.

Hats off to Morales. Un guerrero supremo!!!

    exactly.

morales even after being spent gave it all he could in the last fight (atleast he lasted more than 1 round, real past their prime fighters get stopped by the 2nd).

after the last knockdown he simply looked at his corner, shaked his head and said no more.

    he was clearly finished.

    True.

And even though i like MAB much more than i like EM i would've liked to see him go out on his shield against Pac like EM did instead of just trying to survive like he did in his second fight with Pac.
