If Erik really wants the fight he's earned it and should probably get it, if there's no Pac fight on the horizon for JMM. I think it's a little too late for EM to have a chance to win though he'd probably make it competitive for at least 6 or 7 rounds.

Why the hell should he fight Barrera again?
Marquez-Morales past it or not let them complete the fab four rivalry.
Bradley and Khan are new generation fighters, let them fight themselves instead of Marquez

    Marquez will get credit.
Morales has shown he's got some in the tank. Speedy and slick fighters at this point in time are Morales' kryptonite, I would'nt give Morales any chance against fighters like Pac, Mayweather, Khan........

......Marquez is a fighter that Morales would not have to worry about being overwhelmed with speed.

If you guys remember, Marquez turned down a Morales fight before Morales fought Maidana. I was against Marquez vs Morales simply because Morales was viewed as completely shot.
My assertion back then was that I would rather see Morales take on a Katsidis or Juan Diaz type first to legitamize a Marquez matchup.

......well, Morales gave Maidana all he could handle, and he's now a 140 lbs champ.
Certainly what Morales has accomplished in the past year legitamizes this fight.

    I'm all for it.
.......I dont agree that these two should be fighting young guns looking to make a name for themselves.
These two are at the age that they should only take money fights, and fighting eachother is a money fight.:deal

    The thing is...

Morales is far past his best,

    JMM just arguably beat Pac

Big difference in how far gone both are.

I dont need to see JMM beat a worn out Morales just to complete the cycle of fights.

However, the chance that Morales actually wins.... is so, so awesome, that it makes me want to see this fight :yep

Agreed. In the face of getting thoroughly outboxed, Morales would take risks.

i know some would argue that morales is way too past it to fight marquez but i would say let's get it on. one thing for sure is that morales would not get beaten without a fight.

and it's a closure of the modern Fabulous Four

    Morales-Barrera has fought 3X
    Barrera-Paquiao has fought 2X
    Pacquiao-Morales has fought 3X
    Marquez-Pacquiao has fought 3X

we need at least 1 Marquez-Morales to close the loop. :bbb

mexican idiocy at it's best. you can actually say the same with marquez when he fought defensive almost the entire fight sans the 5th and 7th round. at least pacquiao brought the fight and was more active/aggressive the whole fight.

This fight in Estadio Azteca would be EPIC.

I would NOT know who to root for in this one. IF it ended up as a draw i would still be very happy.

Both did nothing. Pac did even less.
