when pacman beat him just because he looked bad against raheem doesn't say he was shot this was morales first fight at lightweight and he barely made weight if he barely made weight moving up he had either poor conditioning and or was not totally focused on this fight which leads to a lethargic fighter who had to drop alot of weight fast morales had not fought a boxer like raheem in ages all of his fights were with come forward fighters or boxer punchers please quit tryin to discredit pacs victories over eric ,he himself made no excuses by the end of the trilogy he was pretty much done but pacman beat that outta him this may not have been the best ever morales but he was still near his peak and far from shot
I agree with ya!:good Of course EM wasn't prime either, but he proved to still be a vialble threat to anyone when he IMO beat Diaz at 135. But the 1st fight with them EM was probably at his very best overall....a bit past his physical prime, yet with all that CHAMPIONSHIP Experience and big fights he was at his very best and PAC lost. With that said, PAc wasn't prime or at his very best when that first fight happened.....so we have to be able to put this in to perspective.
He was so shot. He just managed to turn back the clock on one epic performance in the first fight. The only way you can argue that he wasn't shot is if you say he was faded and then became shot during the Pac fight. The only reason Morales beat Diaz is because Diaz is so god damn shitty.
he was shot, but for a shot fighter he did damn well against diaz a world champion in his prime age and weight
It's all about perspective.....If EM lost to Santa Cruz, Boby Pac and a few other fringe contenders then YES...absolutely, a good guess would be he was shot. But if loosing a close fight to guys like Marco Antonio Berera, PAC, Raheem, or Diaz in a new weiight class, then you have to look at the overall preformance. We'd have to say that MAB was also shot b/c he only beat EM via a close decision or PAC is shot b/c he couldn't KO a shot EM or MAB within a round. After the Raheem fight it looked as if he was shot, then PAC Ko'd him, then again, then EM went up to fight Diaz and I feel he won. He did well against Diaz and that should prove he's still tough for anyone to beat.
its no use. people on this board have made up their mind that morales was shot. they even say that morales was shot during the first fight and pacquiao was so shitty that he lose to a shot morales. to them morales is a god who cannot be beaten.
LOL....Diaz isn't great, but shittY? I mean he beat the guy who beat Casa, in Santa Cruz...that was pretty impressive. He's not gonna be an ATG but he's tough as nails and will not lay down easily. To call him shitty is a bit far IMO.
As I've said...Diaz beat Cruz who beat Casa who beat Corrales who beat Castillo who came close to beating FMJ. So now I guess we can say that Diaz would have a good shot at beating Floyd....I gotta say I underrated him in hindsight.
