I think it's really quite refutable. I'd personally put him on par with someone like Rubio.

Interested to see what other people in the thread think.

It's not even close, and then there's a difference between the best opponents running away from you as you running away from the best opponents.

Rubio is a journeyman, a shot journeyman at that after a drunk, alcoholic Pavlik fresh off of rehab made him his *****. All of his title shots have been different forms of the WBC title. What does Mexico and the WBC have in common? You're not that stupid, it's not hard to figure out.

Injury or being drained are valid excuses. So long as there is actually an injury, of course.

He isn't at his prime, that doesn't directly translate to shot. He's obviously more comfortable at that weight or he wouldn't be fighting there, ergo not blown up.

I don't consider Stiverne a bum either by the way. Just don't think he's as good as Geale, Murray, Lemieux or possibly Monroe Jr (I think he will go on to have a good career)

Yet Stiverne, who only had 2 years as a pro had a disputed stoppage loss to Demtrius King, when the ref waved it off prematurely. If you saw that fight, you can see a green Stiverne throwing back when the ref waved it off.

Yes, it's just because he's Mexican. The WBC, the same organization who stripped Martinez of his belt just to have a Mexican champ, then gift wrapped it for Chavez Jr. Let's not forget Robert Guerrero fighting for the WBC strap next month, despite getting the beating of his lifetime by Thurman, then a gift decision against an unknown prospect. They want a Mexican champ so bad that they stripped Cotton of the title before he even got to defend it against Alvarez.. :rofl Suliman personally gave Alvarez the diamond belt and went back on his word involving the GGG match. But hey, it's not cause he's Mexican.. it's cause of Alvarez's hard body of work at MW.

Abraham is shot, he's not half the fighter he was at MW. He's slow, his power isn't there anymore, and his reflexes have diminished greatly.
