Exactly, I'll make it easier. Wins over Malik Scott and Bermane Stiverne are better than Daniel "No Mas" Geale, Martin "Never Been" Murray, and David "caveman" Lemmy. Those statistics are meaningless when talking about the HW division. There's 4 belts, the Klitschko brothers have held all the belts since 2008(Wilder turned pro in 08) while the WBA belt was being held hostage by John Ruiz and SNV since Ruslan got stripped after his fight with Drumond. It's not like the MW division where vacant belts run rampant, and guys like shot midgets Cotton and mental patients Taylor win straps from the reigning champs.
They were picking Stiverne because he's a hard puncher with a granite chin, WBC Champ, and a top 3 HW behind Klitschko and Povetkin at the time. Meanwhile, Wilder never went passed 4 and was stated as being chinny and unproven. And please, don't bring your conspiracy theories here. It was a dive based on what? Wilder hit him with a left hook clean to the temple. Some people can take a shot, some can't. If Wilder landed the same shot Thompson did on Price, people would be calling that a dive too. The hate for this man is unreal.
I don't hate Wilder, I don't even know the guy but if you think the Scott KO was legit then there is something wrong with you because: 1. It wasn't even a full punch it was a slap and it landed by the ear 2. Scott clearly went down on his accord the punch didn't even wobble him 3. Scott wasn't remotely hurt whatsoever and his legs were completely solid when he walked to his corner after he got up
Stiverne has never been top 3 or even top 5 HW. After beating Arreola for the vacant title, he was boxrec #7.
If Stiverne has such a granite chin why was he decked by a guy with a 25% KO percentage in his last fight?
That is your own heavily biased opinion, not a fact. Also, giving those ridiculous nicknames isn't helping you prove your point at all. Besides, the vast majority in the United States (Wilder's own country) agrees that Golovkin is way more accomplished than Wilder, so you are among the overwhelming minority (mostly consisted of certain groupies I'd add) with your beliefs. It is a fact that Malik Scott has never entered the top 10 of his division in his entire career (he likely wasn't even top 20 since getting stopped by Chisora and certainly not in that range with the Wilder loss). There is nothing whatsoever to prove that Scott is even comparable to any of Golovkin's top wins, let alone unified world champions. Stiverne, as mentioned, has entered the top 10 by beating Arreola (a guy that is renowned for his obese weight and not his talent) and then lost his belt in the very first title defense. The very same Stiverne is the only top 10 opponent on Wilder's resume, while Golovkin has beaten not only numerous top 10 guys, but also actual and unified world champions. There is absolutely nothing to back up your heavily biased (possibly agenda driven) opinion. You don't have anything rational, realistic, nor objective to come up with.
He got hit with a left hook to the temple by a big puncher and never recovered. Like stated before, some people can take a punch, some can't. There's absolutely no reason to doubt the result of the fight. I've seen fights where fighters got knocked out by arm punches from weak punchers. Yet because Wilder did it to a top 10 opponent, it must be a dive.. atsch:rofl
Because Wilder ruined him, duh. He took 200 flush punches to the face for 12 rounds straight against a big puncher.
The same boxrec which has Canelo number 1 p4p? Or the one who has Cotton number 2 at JMW despite not campaigning there since beating up that Dominican journeyman and getting outboxed and embarrassed by Trout in 2012.. atsch:huh:rofl Jesus man, you bummyluvkin fangirls are way too ****ing easy.
Nothing biased about it. It's an opinion based on facts. Most people dksab, what else is new? For the longest the general public in the U.S have stated that Pac beats Mayweather and that he's scared of him. Scott is in the top 10 now after beating Thompson. Stiverne was in the top 3 after beating Arreola and winning the WBC strap. Hw's are fat, wtf do you expect. It's a division that has no weight limit. There's been fat HW's in boxing since the 1800's. Already stated how they got their MW ranking. Come on man, Stevens was a top 10 MW contender when Lil G fought him, wtf does that tell you of the current MW landscape?
Top 3 HW? What hahaha No one in their right mind considered him to be the third best heavyweight on the planet. I don't hate Wilder. At no point have I said that at all. To me, it looked a clear dive. To a lot of people it looked a clear dive actually. The fact they're chummy outside of the ring doesn't help either.
Who gives a shyt about what he did as an amateur, this is the pro game. Considering that Wilder took boxing late, you could make the case that he has done more than Golovkin.
Wait so your using Boxrec as your source hahaha? The same site that currently has Golovkin at #2 P4P and Wilder at 24 based on their resume? Nice.
