I will take the complete combinations of Louis over the flatline one shot Maricano. Joe took Schmeling apart.

    A thing of beauty.

As a one off shot - Marciano.

For a systematic ruthless destruction - Louis

.... Read the title guys. More brutal shot. Yes, the way Louis set Schmelling up was a thing of beauty, however Marciano's single shot was far more brutal for me.

I would say the right hand Du Plooy landed on Weaver.

Liebling observed, “traveled at most twelve inches, straight across his chest to the champion’s jaw. It was about as hard as anybody ever hit anybody. Walcott flowed down like flour out of a chute. He didn’t seem to have a bone in his body.”

Walcott getting put down and staying down, for me. Even though I have Louis/Schmeling as the greater KO (Marciano/Walcott is #3 :yep )

Walcott was tired and moving into that punch. The sheer power of it is quite overrated. Marciano hits Walcott with similar bombs earlier in the fight. But by the 13th, Walcott was tired and Marciano either got lucky or timed it just right for Joe to be moving into it. Devastating result either way.

You think Rocky was full of beans himself? 13 rounds in pressing the attack nonstop and having vision in only one eye...

Just seeing Walcott's face in slow motion as the punch lands means this is a no contest on which was the harder shot. It literally turned his face to Jello

Easy answer....Marciano on Walcott....it wasn't preceded by the beating...the endless cruel rights that Schmeling set up Louis with, Not knocking Max's ko but the marciano right that he used on Walcott was the quintessential ko punch...one punch ko..of righthands,we'll say.

...just got home from work and I'm what you'd call "brain dead".....I "saw" it as Schmeling's ko of Louis...when it's the reverse...the '38 revenge beating.....same thing...for a single shot it's still Marciano...but the beauty and viciousness of Joe's punches are a different sort of destruction.

Marciano landing the "Suzie Q" on Walcott in the 13rd in 1952...best punch ever thrown...
