Two fighters who were unbeaten at Cruiserweight and arguably considered the greatest at this weight class. Who would you say was the more skilled, well rounded H2H fighter at Cruiserweight before they made their move to Heavyweight?

Usyk is more skilled but Holyfield is more complete for all ranges. Usyk would beat Holyfield h2h

More complete? I'd say Holyfield. A more well rounded fighter overall particularly on the offensive side of things. He had a full offensive arsenal: strong hooks, uppercuts, crosses, a fast jab, masterful headbutting, very good body punching, great counter punching, capable of fighting equally well at any range.

You'd take any fighter with a heartbeat over Usyk if they boxed before 1990s lol

H2H it would be close to 50/50.

I think Holyfield has a bit more variety about him he can fight on the inside and outside.

He also has a bit more variety with his punches and is a better combination puncher IMO.

But Usyk has better movement and uses angles better aswell as having a better jab.

Power ? Slight edge to Holyfield.

    Speed ? Not much difference.

    Chin ? Equal.

    Heart ? Equal.

    Footwork ? Usyk.

    They're very evenly matched IMO.

Yeah that guy had every shot in the book an he was adaptable as well. When all the Peds made him go bald he just used his head as another weapon in his arsenal

Holyfield had better offensive variety and combinations while Usyk has the superior footwork, angles and defense. Very hard to pick between these two.

Usyk is the better fighter I think. I also think that if you compare their cruiser resumes head to head Usyk's resume would come out on top.

That said, Holyfield may be argued to be ahead in orthodox boxing skills and punching power.

Usyk's style is hard to quantify, since it is all built on being slippery, footwork, range control and creating angles. He's so good at this style that other 'traditional' skills like a snapping jab, infighting and so forth could be neglected to little detriment of his results.

Holyfield is more well-rounded. Not more skilled though.

More skilled would be Usyk but Holyfield has intangibles that even things up. Lots of guys say they would be willing to die in the ring but with Holyfield, he truly would fight to the death. I still think Uysk would win a decision but Evander would never stop coming after him.
