It's far easier to dispute Hagler/Leonard than Leonard/Hearns II.

As to which is more controversial?

    Oomph. Hagler/Leonard easily.

Leonard - Hearns II was about a point closer for mine.

Leonard-Hearns II. Hearns dropped him twice and couldn't earn a win? A majority knows who the true winner was that night, and Hearns certainly felt he achieved self-vindication. A draw with a sweet taste of victory for the Hit Man.

On the other hand, Leonard-Hagler immediately began developing into a potential shocker, as Marvelous Marvin was expected to steamroll over Sugar Ray, but nothing the frustrated Hagler did that night in defending the crown ever changed the tide of an upset in the making, right to the final bell.

Leonard-Hagler, there's actually real dispute among different sides with that.

Basically everyone says Hearns won the rematch with Leonard. Ray included.

With Leonard-Hagler, if you took a poll of 100 people, you'd probably get 48 who say Ray and 48 who say Hagler. And 4 who had it 114-114.

Hagler/Leonard was more controversial by far. Leonard/Hearns II was simply a blatant robbery.

Hagler spent the first several rounds trying to show Ray he could outbox him right handed.

Earth to Marvin: Hey! the fight's only 12 rounds. and the math don't work in your favor when you give away rounds.

    Leonard/Hearnes 2 was a robbery...

In the case of Hagler/Leonard I dont see how Hagler won more than 5 rounds, it's just a sad case of the boxing media telling us it was a robbery when it clearly was'nt.
