    All pales in comparison to the great Mills Lane's performance in the Tyson v Holyfield encounter, ths man countenanced common assault in the ring, ignored his responsibility as an official , ignored his instincts as a public defender , ignored his role as the protector of the fighters safety, and permitted the crime to be perpertrated again. In Lane's world, Ivé wondered what one has to do to be dqed, Mora is a baby in comparison!

    I think he's saying that Lane should have DQ'd HOLYFIELD, for intentional head-butting.
    I pretty much agree, but that pales in comparison to Mora's larceny today.

    Mora is a disgrace, an incompetent or a cheat, but his interpretation of what constitutes a low blow is still subjective, nothing however, is subective about removing a large part of someones ear and being allowed to box on. I am sure with the benefit of hindsight Lane would recognise his incompetence here.

    I can see your point, and have no problem with the fight being stopped after the first bite.

    Three things though in defense maybe of Lane.
    1. He did not directly witness the bite I think. Tyson, like BHop was expert in doing things on the other side of the ref. Maybe Holyfield was too--headbutting? (Police and D.A.'s respond differently to what they did not witness themselves.)
    2. He asked Holyfield if he wanted to continue.
    3. I think he was in shock himself.

    I don't think that, unlike Mora, Lane was on the take in some way. I don't recall other bad decisions from Lane--do you have any?

    And Tyson did have his license suspended for what was it a year.

    I'd like to see Mora's license permanently suspended.

    I agree with all you say here and undrstand completely, Holyfield did agree to box on, but should that inquiry been made? He is a warrior and a fighter and what else would he say? Anyway it's history, Mora's performance is not and should be sanctioned, regardless of it's bearing on the result.

    **** all wrong with Steele's call against Meldrick, it was a good fare & just call & it's a 3 minute round. What the **** has the flashing 10 second light got to do with Taylor stood there concussed & looking away from steele when he's asked if he's alright!! & asked TWICE!! Taylor said nothing & looked to his right & thats enough justification to end it & why should JCC be cheated out of his rightfull victory regardless of time left in the fight. Good, fair & correct call by Richard Steele:deal
