Just looking at the lineup, the only fight I'd be at all interested in is the main event. Apparently you're just so used to paying for garbage that you can't differentiate between mediocre and great. :verysad

Dumbass, your ass was owned on multiple occasions. You talk crap about a card you haven't even watched  and left fans breathless, you pull **** out of your ass about how bad boxing is just when TWO cards overperformed on ONE night in ONE town, you call yourself a fan but judge shows by boxrec line-up, and most of all, you tell paying fans what to do when you're not opening your pocket of your own, why don't you just

Your failure is forever documented in this thread; now I go back discussing the great success of counter-programming after you tried (but failed) to derail the conversation. Go troll another thread.

Some argue that with De La Hoya's retirement, the last stars to produce huge PPV numbers in the US are the ones who defeated him, and when Floyd and Manny are done, PPV retires too as there no mass interest in boxing anymore.

Following this logic, with the rising names of Chavez and Martinez, 250-300k was the realistic expectation, but the final number that will be probably closer to Iole's 470k prediction than to Arum's 600k+, (500ish I'd imagine) is a sign that sport fans are not just into names, they are into boxing and willing to accept new faces.

While Jr. may not go places and Martinez has just a couple of fights left, they can both build on this business achievement or sell a big time rematch, Canelo is barely getting started in the US, and a May Cotto superfight could break the 1.000.000 record for the first fight not involving DLH or one of his opponents under HW. Now the question is: can Cotto overcome the highly skilled and underrated Trout and who will stage their May fight, HBO or Showtime, where Alvarez just broke the main event ratings record.
