More counter-programming PLS! Canelo breaks Showtime record, Martinez PPV hits 600k

    I would like to know how anyone can have 2 tv's on at the same time and NOT missing action from one or the other fights going on at the same time.
    Competing cards on tv has an obvious canibal effect and both lose a potential audiance.
    This was merely a prime example of 2 promoters with incredible ego's playing chicken with each other-both at the cost of real boxing fans.Pure nonsense.
    HBO and Showtime both should shake hands and agree this type of counter-programming is bad for the sport they insist they love.

    It's about the ears, my friend. You look at where the more intense noises are coming from. :yep

    Simultaneous watching can be done, but it's not that fun, instead of getting sucked into one atmosphere you'll feel distant from two, you'll miss momentum shifts and the focus that is required to score properly. 1 live and 1 on tape, that's how one should handle counter-programming.
