Before he went back down in weight and lost, many considered him to be one the best LHWs ever.

jones toys with his opponents and can KO them any round he wants or let it go the distance....

pbf struggles in the early rounds and then wins via decision...

    theres the difference....

Prime Roy is, head to head, the best pound for pound fighter in history, in my opinion.

Thanks to all who answered. I feel as though Jones also was more dominant in his prime as most of you who responded felt also. I just here alot of people around my office going on and on about Mayweather who don't get me wrong is great but come on guys....

    Roy Jones hands down............

Floyd Mayweather gets results, but he never really captures your imagination with his performanes, or blows you away.

Roy Jones got results, and blew you away.

It's a close call. I don't know who to pick. Floyd had the style to last longer in the sport. Very tough call for me.

Equal. They both dominate their opposition in their own ways.

Roy by far, Nobody wanted to fight Roy, and people are fighting to get a crack at Mayweather! Also Losing to Mayweather involves everything other than pain lol you may get embarassed yeah, but you'll leave the arena with barely a scratch.

While I agree that Roy was much more dominant, PBF does at times bust people up.

Both are very dominant. In opposition, I think Floyd is better overall (Corrales, Castillo, De la Hoya, Hatton, Marquez, Mosley vs. Toney, Hopkins, Hill, Ruiz).

Roy Jones was not "World Champion" at 160, 168 or at heavyweight. He has a solid claim at 175, but that is just one division. Mayweather, on the other side, was legit champ at 130, 135 and 147.

Roy Jones cleaned 175. Floyd Mayweather cleaned 130.

    Roy Jones was P4P #1 in 1996, 1999 and 2003. Floyd Mayweather was P4P #1 in 2005, 2006 and 2007.

I think Floyd will have a couple more big wins and end his career in a better way.

I'm sorry but you rate DLH, Hatton and Marquez highly :huh ODH was old and past his prime he still made it competitive, Hatton looked like **** and almost got KO'd the last time he tried 147 he came up in weight to fight May i would have had a lot more respect for that figt if may would of fought him at the only weight hatton was any good. and bloated Marquez was what 35 36? fighting 20 lbs past his prime weight FFS and floyd still came in overweight? MOsely nice win but hes pushing 40 and besides beating a cheater without his weapon has looked old for years.
Coralles and castillo were his best wins.

Toney, And hopkins alone blow away any wins floyd has. Also he became the man at 168 when he embarrased Toney, he also easily beat b-hop who then went on to unify and not lose in 13 years till he finally lost two close decisions to Taylor.
