Marquez looked good , even though it didn't last long. He's still obviously lookin sharp and his handspeed is still there. I think he's gonna make it a great fight. I won't give him any chance to win, but it's gonna be a war while it lasts. I can't wait. [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WdeLuVj75BQ[/ame]
Im actually a little more worried now after seeing this. I dont know if people saw what i saw but i saw JMMs upper body, reactions and leg work look sluggish. I almost want to say it was just ring rust but JMM never shows ring rust. It could just be the age finally catching up. Oh yea anyone ever taken a straight right hand from JMM like that?? I would love to see if those haters still stand after one of those.
Come on guys, this fight didn't tell us anything. If I were a JMM fan, I'd be proper pissed. Going in to the Pacquiao fight, JMM will have had a minute and a half of ring activity in the last 12 months. Any hope getting rid of ring rust, would have went crashing down along with Ramos' poor acting job of cushioning his fall and forcing his eyes shut.
Oh I noticed.. But it also could be warmups considering its only the first round. Wouldn't know yet if he has not broken sweats. JMM look bulkier. Speed and reflex will be his downfall!
I'm a bit more excited. Granted, my expectations into the fight were that there was a high chance I'd feel worse about the third match, so I was pleasantly surprised.
I was excited the Moment I read it was on. This fight was for Marquez to fine tune them skills.... it's not his fault they are still top notch he beat up the guy how he was supposed to with KTFO punch.... People would have been complaining if it would have took him 10 rounds to KO him... you can never Please. JMM is there to win, not to collect a check like Clottey, Mosely.
No, that fight did nothing to prepare MArquez for a fight against Pac. Nothing happened, he didn;t shake any ring rust. Just wasted a training camp to throw a few punches at a **** opponent.
The Reflexes looked great to me, he looked Bulkier not in a fat sluggish way like Mayweather.... and he definitely had great timing in his few counters to make it seem like he was fast.
The Training camp is what removes ring rust as well though... He prepared hard for this fight. That helps a lot before this fight he was just staying in shape. Now he worked on all his attributes and prepared for a 12 rounds fight. This is exactly what was needed and is better then nothing instead of going directly into the biggest fight of his life with a 1 year lay off.
You're comparing a c-level fighter to Pac. Anyways, too hard to tell at the moment. My prediction still stands. Pac tko/ud. Rooting for the underdog though :good
