Muhammad Ali is the most famous & charismatic boxer there ever was... he fought in the biggest fight in history in the first ever fight between 2 undefeated champions... he recieved his first ever pro loss in this fight... he was floored by his biggest rivals best punch in the very last round of this fight... holywood couldnt make this **** up.

Frazier`s left on Ali > Marciano`s right on Walcott.

I love Fraser's hook probably the hardest punch to through well and his is just poetry in motion and it is quick, Tua reminds me of Fraser with his cross handed defence and beautiful left hook that said Marciano's suzie Q is the better known punch I just like Fraser's left better.

Ali had a far better chin & much better recuperative powers than Walcott tho, this must factor in.

Also, its about which one was more famous/legenday.... not which one was the hardest.

the left hook is better to throw and to watch but of the two it has to be rocky's Q.
walcotts left hook KO of ezzard charles was better than both though

Ali also took a much better shot than the often KO'ed Walcott ... I'm sure that hook would have KO'ed Walcott ...

good lord that leaping left that hit ali would have taken out many fighters.

ali's chin doesnt get enough credit. i mean it does on this board but out in the mainstream sports media it doesnt. ali is one of the few boxers that said media talk about w/ frequency and its always about ali dancin', floatin' and stingin'....they never talk about his chin. he had a great chin.

I agree .I just cannot see Frazier's hook above Marciano's right in any context.

Certainly if we're talking specifically Rockys right versus Walcott and specifically Fraziers hook against Ali, then Rockys right hand wins this hands down - instant explosive KNOCKOUT power and much more control poise and precision about it - almost a technically picture perfect punch (I personally don't think anyone in history could've taken that one full pelt (in the same manner that Walcott took it) without being knocked out) - Fraziers hook was a great one don't get me wrong but I do think Ali was so open to it when it was thrown and I also think Ali was really ready to go down by that stage of that fight whereas Walcott was really in command had hugely more punch resistance left in him than Ali did at the respective stages of those fights - one thing about Frazier is he did have some dig in him but to me it always looked like it took him 3 or 4 in a row before they got up to full steam and he looked to be really gritting his teeth with everything he had whereas for me Rocky had the more natural effortless power - don't know what anyone else thinks about that??

Easy??? Walcott was ahead, but to say Walcott was easily winning the fight is other can of worms all togetor.

Walcott was hurt, daze and stun though out the fight.

Rocky landed some good punchings, the 7th round, the 4th and of couse that good end counter in the 3rd. Lets not forget that Walcott was cut over the right eye, and blood pouring out of it. That was a far from easy fight for Walcott, Rocky Marciano did beat Walcott up in that fight. For the most part, it was a give and take kind of fight, with Rocky landed his shots, than Walcott.

It was back and forth until Rocky got blinded. But Walcott did take a some what bad beating in the body and the head. It was not easy. Easy is Lewis Tua.
