More impressive achievement: Mayweather's 43-0 or Marciano's 49-0??

Mayweather is 43-0, having success from 130 until 154. His best wins are G. Hernandez, Castillo, Corrales, Judah, DLH, Hatton, Mosley, Cotto.

Marciano had a legendary 49-0. His heavyweight era was average. He beat old greats like Louis, Walcott, Charles and Walcott. His context was the 1950s, were fighters had much more bouts. 49 fights in 1955 isn't a long career.

    Which record is more impressive?

Arguably, Mayweather's 43-0 is more impressive.

Marciano beat average heavyweight and also some All Time Greats that were past their prime. During his era, boxers usually had more than 65 fights. Who knows if Marciano could have been able to remain undefeated with 15 or 20 more fights.
