more impressive...matthysse over peterson or ggg over macklin???

While Golovkin destroying Macklin in three rounds was impressive, it was expected. Macklin didn't really pose that much of a threat. More of a when will Golovkin win rather than who will win. Matthysse-Peterson was more of a 50/50 fight and even Matthysse backers didn't expect him to destroy Peterson in three rounds.

 

I voted Matthysse only because Peterson is of higher quality as an oponent, imo.

Overall though, not just counting their last fights, GGG is a better fighter. Maybe by quite a bit.

 

ggg - aside from destroying mack's liver, he also destroyed his face

 

Matthysse by far, not many were expecting him to win in that manner.

With Golovkin vs Mack everybody (besides a handfull of Brits, doubters and haters) knew he was going to knock him out inside X rounds, and a lot expected it to happen inside the first half of the fight.

Although I also expected a Matthysse KO, I expected it to be late and it wasn't a given too. Matthysse was the favorite, but not by much.

 

peterson was a world champion and had only lost i think once? macklin was coming off a loss....

 

You have to be high if u voted for ggg vs macklin.

It took Sergio 11 rounds and he's supposedly the better of the two.

Lots of people expected to see Peterson boxing Matthysse cuz in their opinion he was the better boxer but Matthysse showed whos the boss @ 140 ! So I say the K.O win of Lucas over Peterson is more impressive cuz it was unexpected compared with the K.O win of 3G over Macklin. People expected to see Macklin going down in some round !

 

matthyse def... peterson is a great boxer and was supposed to give him problems... after a slow start in the first round matthyse had peterson holding on for dear life....

Martinez is not known as a ko artist. He is also getting old. A fresh power punching Golovkin was expected to make easy work of Macklin.

 

Mathysse.

It was impressive ass kicking, beating guy like that who has never been knocked out BUT..
Just because before that Mathysse went and lost to Shot Judahrofl )and Alexander. Mathysse is not skilled at all...

 

well Macklin was a 9-1 underdog and Peterson matthysse was just about dead even odds. in short the golovkin end was expected, the Matthysse end was more surprising
